The apparent lack of depth across the offensive line has to be a serious concern.

Harrell behind a line that looked like swiss cheese is not going to give you a clear picture. Notice that he did make some good passes when the line held up. I wouldn't send him off just yet.

As for Taylor, I have seen nothing redeeming so far from him. I say give him one more week. If he doesn't produce in the next preseason game, cut him. Not impressed at all with the guy...

Harrell's passer rating was 26.4. LOL

HOWEVER, the two INTs weren't his fault. One as a hail mary, the other was Ryan Taylor falling down. Take those away and his rating was 61.11, still not great but not totally disastrous either.

If you average Harrell's passer rating from last week with his rating of this week, you get pretty much what Flynn had in the preseason last year, iirc.

I think Harrell was better than he looked tonight. Would Colt McCoy be an upgrade? Probably. But I don't think Harrell is necessarily a total disaster.

I agree OT Taylor needs to be cut, to if nothing else to send a message... but it could also open a spot to add someone.

I do agree Harrell hasn't had the best cast around him at times and has had to run at times (all the time against the Chargers) even when he's not being pressured, I'm still not seeing it. He did show up in one drive in the 4th quarter but most of the time, even when not being pressured he looked more like a #3 guy at best. He's been in the system long enough, I'm thinking he's not the long term answer for #2 QB. Coleman looks like PS at best.

Though the FA market at QB right now isn't pretty unless you want McNabb. Probably be best to wait until final cuts... to pick up someone or go with Harrell as #2 for a season.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I heard it looks like the DOlphins starting job was gonna be David Garrard or rookie Ryan Tannehill (who knows the system because it's the same with the same coach (Mike Sherman)). Leaving Matt Moore out. But Garrard got hurt and will be out 3 or 4 weeks. Ether way, I think Garrard or Moore would make a decent #2 guy. I think most know about Garrard. Moore was a lone term back-up for the Panthers and looked very good as a #2 guy. In '09 they won 4 of his 5 starts (they only won 7 all season). In '10 they gave him a chance to start, but most of his starting OL was out with injuries and so was he after getting hurt running for his life. In '11 they won 6 of his 12 starts (won 6 all season). I thinks he's a pretty good back-up.

I'm sure we won't be picking up another QB, so we will have this glaring hole in the roster, so I hope Newhouse and/or Sherrod bring their A game whenever facing a serious pash rusher. And McCarthey better not be so stingy with his tight ends - better to have one less guy out in the pattern then your franchise laying injured.

This game is about evaluation and keeping people healthy, about the only thing you'll evaluate on a play like that is pass blocking and arm strength. One thing I did evaluate though was that Harrell made a bad decision to throw it at all, hurling it at the last second off his back foot.

Second INT, absolutely not his fault. It was actually a pretty accurate pass under pressure (one thing we haven't seen him do that often), and if the TE doesn't fall down it's a completion.

Well, other than receiver, I don't like the depth on this entire team. Imo if we had this depth in 2010 we wouldn't have made the playoffs, much less winning a Super Bowl with 15 starters on IR. Taylor and Harrel both need to go, imo.

Most alarming for me though, and I'm really hoping it's a case of not showing their hand in preseason, but there is still 0.0 pass rush! Taylor and Harrel are worrisome only if a starter goes down, but the defense, or lack there of, will be visible half of all snaps of every game. Once again, I just hope they aren't showing their hand in preseason.
