Your point is well taken. Keep in mind the writers at Lombardiave.com are not on the same level as ESPN or CBS Sports or the other major media outlets. It is a blog and I would not be surprised if they did not receive any compensation at all. They may since it it tied to SI and there are ads on the site but I am sure they have to have a real job as well. That doesn't mean they should not be held accountable at all. Don't look for a lot of substance you probably won't find it.

He throws the short high percentage plays underneath as much as anyone else. What are you even talking about? On top of that they routinely have one of the most efficient deep passing attacks of any team int he league. Rodgers is fine how he is and the offense is fine how it is.

I don't think we would like the look of this offense if all he did after 3 seconds was throw it to someone who is covered or throw it away.

I don't think that Rodgers doesn't like going with checkdowns to his RBs, it's just that RB has been so up and down the past few seasons he just doesn't have any confidence in the guys back there. He was more than willing to go to Benson, Lacy and Harris on checks once they showed they were reliable. But then Benson got hurt, the season ended with Harris and then he missed last year and Rodgers was out most of last season.

Rodgers buys time and makes plays with his feet better than almost any QB past or present whose primary weapon is his throwing arm.

Let the deep pattern develop; If it doesn't, THEN hit the guy open underneath - and NEVER put it up for grabs. A sack is a setback; An Interception is a disaster.

Never mind that he probably has the best accuracy in the league, I'll take Rodgers' method and judgment also over that of any other QB.
