IMO, it is too early yet to be speculating on a successor at QB just yet . 2 to 3 years prior to retirement will do nicely. At the present I most urgently feel that the Packers greatest need in the next NFL Draft is Linebackers . The Defense needs to take 1st priority in the next Draft .

I started this thread not really as a joke, but just to highlight the delightful and probably naive statement made by this kid QB the Badgers recruited. However, even he, just a high school senior now, if he played all four years in college, would probably have to sit for 4 or 5 years or more after being drafted in 2020. In other words, yes, it IS way too early. As great as Aaron Rodgers turned out to be, it was a kinda uncomfortable situation snagging him as BPA while the incumbent superstar QB still had so much tread on the tires.
As for the here and now, I'm for getting rid of Flynn, making Tolzien the back up, and maybe picking up a new young late round or FA guy as the third stringer - but that's a topic for a different thread.
