Up to and arguably beyond Burnett's pick the Packers were in a position to win the game. If you're going to blame Mike McCarthy for player accountability, how do you dismiss his roll in the team's performance to that point? They were gang tackling, energized, dominating save for a gimmick play. So the good is despite him, and the bad is because of him? That sure seems to be what I'm reading from you and others, and to me that's just approaching this with an agendas and preconceived notions.

I love to call for coaches' heads, but this one is on the players. They didn't execute when it mattered. Sure, I would have liked to see some different coaching decisions...go for it on one of those FG's in the first quarter...be aggressive with 4 to go in the game...or tell the captains to call heads on the coin toss...

How do you blame a coach for a player knowing his job, but choosing not to do it and not coming up with the ball...or a player going to the ground with nothing but green around him after an INT?

I completely agree but it's so much than just that... if you look through out the whole game, one more yard from Kuhn or Lacy and TD, one more catch from Nelson in the endzone, one more non-INT by Rodgers and you get another FG. One more missed play by the Seahawks... Haha knocks that sky ball down, Burnett doesn't kneel after the INT but gets much further maybe for a TD like Collins did in the Super Bowl. Unfinished plays all over the place.

But perfect statement, they couldn't get it with the earlier plays, what magically says they're going to get it on fourth down?

Think about it, if Mike McCarthy went for them and got neither, there might not of been an overtime or need for an onside kick to start with.

I do agree that the attitude of going for the jugular is not ingrained in Mike's teams...and that is on him.

I don't know about gutless, but clueless on short yardage and goal line offense I would agree. Come out heavy with 7 olineman and try to ram it in once, but twice in a row was stupid. After Kuhn missed, spread the defense out and let Rodgers try a sneak from the 6 inch line.

McCarthy can draw up some good passing plays, but his ability to scheme a creative run game is crap.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

But not going for the jugular or punching it in didn't directly lose the game. What lost the game were players making boneheaded decisions/plays.

I agree with what you guys are saying about Mike McCarthy as a HC, but to say this loss is on him is ridiculous.
