I had a feeling that when Burnett went down after the INT with 4 to go that it might come back to bite us. I know why he went down, but it didn't look like anyone was near him. Then we go 3 and out with Seattle stopping the clock. We didn't take advantage of that TO in the least. No, Burnett didn't know what was going to happen on that offensive series, but he should have returned that ball. The game wasn't over and he was playing like that INT sealed the game.

The risk of fumbling on that return is pretty nil. It just goes to show how TERRIFIED this team was. They played scared, AGAIN.

Guess what happens when you play scared.

There were plenty of plays before and after that that determined the game, but I do agree. At the time I thought it was very curious that he went down. I had a bunch of friends texting me about how the game was over, and I just had this bad feeling. Way too much time, they had to do something with that, and it was essentially a wasted turnover save for taking up two of their TOs, which in the end proved inconsequential.

I don't understand giving himself up at that point either. At that point, I figured that INT was the final dagger, until the offense showed up and could barely burn a minute off the clock. What makes it really bad is, not only did it end up being one of the plays that contributed to not winning. But Burnett gave up on what could have been a career highlight memory for him. There was nothing but Lineman and Wilson between him and a Pick 6 TD in an NFC Championship which really would have been game set and match if he had completed the play.

A chance to make a play like that in a game of that magnitude doesn't present itself often. And he wasted it.

I don't know if he would of made it, but I thought he had a shot at the end zone. I which there was some video showing his post INT field in front of him.

Not returning that could of cost the Packers the game too. [puke]

So many plays the Packers left on the field 🤐

He didn't even need to make it to the end zone. If he just got within FG range. Another Crosby kick would have all but ended it.

At worst, if he runs and gets caught they end up in FG range.

I was dumbfounded when Burnett slid. Unfortunately, FOX didn't give many good replay angles but the initial play showed at least 15-20 yards without a Seahawks player around him. There was zero attempt at a return which definitely cost this team points because McCarthy decided (like Burnett) to go conservative because there was no way the Seahawks could catch up.

I'm imagining Burnett could have had 30-40 yards on a return (he only had BIGS and Russell in front of him) or even scored a touchdown, which would have ABSOLUTELY been the dagger. This play will forever haunt my dreams. Was the set up to the rest of the bullshit that happened.

The turning point of the game was giving up that 3rd and forever when Capers only rushed three. It was as bad as 4th and 26 in Philly!

earthquake (7h) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (9h) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (12h) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (13h) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.

TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
dhazer (27-Apr) : Anyone know what went on with Kitchens from Florida? At 1 point he was to be the Packers 1st round and he is way down the board now
