I'm optimistic for this game for the following reasons:

I don't see the Seahawks D as quite as tough as last year, although it's still damn good. Carolina threw on them, so we should be able to. I also saw the Cowboys both run and pass on them earlier in the season, and we have a better passer and almost as good a runner.

I don't see Seattle's offense as nearly as good as Dallas - which we didn't exactly shut down, but we certainly slowed and defeated. Murray is better than Lynch; Romo is about equal to Wilson; and Dallas's receivers and O Line are a LOT better.

Rodgers' injury is the kind of thing that if not further damaged, will be a week more healed - just playing on it yesterday shouldn't have set him back, and I don't think he worsened the injury. I think he could have done a lot more moving yesterday, but was trying to be cautious - until the 4th quarter at least, saving it for Seattle. As was said, he has the 2 weeks to rest if we beat the Seahawks, so I expect him to do what it takes - get out of the pocket as needed this week.

Their home field advantage could be a problem, but I think that is overrated. Rodgers was already using a lot of hand signals this week.

I see the Packer winning a real grinder - these are IMO, clearly the two best teams, better than what the AFC has. I don't think we will be able to run much on them, but Rodgers will be 85-90% of his old self, and he will win it with a lot of passing.

I hope the Packers seen this and Shawn Slocum plans for it. When you have someone leaping over like this, it means the back end is going to be open. This is where I would rather the backup QB doing the holding because he could catch the snap, quickly turn and toss it up for Andrew Quarless to catch streaking down the field like the Packers did with I think Tom Crabtree versus the Bears few years ago.

It really makes me wonder what's going on behind closed doors. McCarthy's coaches prepare for just about everything and all active players normally have a role.

Flynn AND Tolzien being in there must mean something more than just fear of Rodgers getting hurt again. Remember, Cobb played some QB at Kentucky. We're gonna see some tricks.

Regarding run defense/Lynch - the talking heads decrying the Packers run defense yesterday are idiots. DeMarco Murray averaged 4.7 YPC during the regular season. Murray got 123 yards off 25 carries, or 4.92 YPC. Nobody's saying the Packers have a top 5 run defense but versus a top line and RB I'll take 123 yards off 25 carries all day long if that means we're containing the passing game and not giving up long TD runs.

If Peppers doesn't get that strip you could tack on another 60 yards on just 1 more attempt plus another touchdown. Do say the Cowboys didn't run the ball down our throats is slightly irresponsible. Run defense is our biggest concern defensively in this next game.

For the longest time we were holding him below a 4 ypa average. We gave up a couple big chunks on a few late runs, the sweep that set up their third score probably the worst of which. But he was often held to 2 or 3 yard runs, which is something a defense can manage. It gives you a chance.
