It seems the agents are telling the GB FAs to visit Seattle and a division rival.

Losing Lang/Tretter was out of Ted's control and love the 5th rounder for Hyde.

Signing Perry was necessary; at 12M per, it was a necessary evil.

Kendricks-I'm skeptical, but he's working out with Rodgers as we speak. He really wanted to come here. Kendricks' problems to date have been 90% mental and the rest was in his head. Like Cook, he's has moments where he does everything right, he flashes his potential and then slinks back to suck. If he could flash a little more and slink back to average, instead of suck, then he's gonna cost some $$$ to resign next year.

Bennett is a huge signing; if he can behave/mesh and learn the playbook and the nuances of the offense he is infinitely better at receiving than Finley, Franks, Chmura, Jackson [as a Packer] or Cook, who is/was the TJ Rubely of TEs. Actually Jackson in his prime is a good comparison, but Bennett is 3-4 inches taller. If Bennett played for stud QBs over his career, he'd have HOF stats.

Bennett has an incredible catch radius and hands, he has Randy Moss type/Chris Carter skills to go up and get and fight for the ball. When he's in the game blocking, going for the ball, whatever, he is just an animal. He's a street fighter. He'll miss some; but he's the best blocker we've had since Ed West and he is infinitely better than the aforementioned pass catching TEs at blocking. He really understands leverage on his routes, and because of it he gets open deep. Bennett is the total package; best since Paul Coffman!

3rd and 3, 3rd and 5, on a curl Bennett cannot be covered by any human. Dont know NE and Chicago offenses well enough to determine if he's running routes correctly. But, he had a better catch rate than Gronk for all 3 NE QBs and in his only year he worked numerous back shoulder throws with Brady. In 12, 13, 14, 16 ['15 he was not happy] he was tops or near tops on the team in catch rate; where a guy like Cook was near the bottom of every team he'd been on.

Bennett is just still so pissed at his suspension from Bears in 2015 for what he sees as a wrong done to him; his goal in NE was to make Chicago regretting trading him. And now he's coming to GB to shove it in their face close and personal for the next 5-6-7 years, get 6-7,000 yards and go to HOF.

Over-Under: 100 catches 1200 yards 10 TDs [Assuming Rodgers is QB]

Thus far, I think we've had a decent free agency.

Here's why ...

Bennett and Kendricks both help this offense with their big bodies. Not only does it open up the field on the 3rd downs but it also takes out the pressure on other wide receivers. Bennett also brings some blocking talent from a tight end position which we've lacked.

Losing or keeping Michael Hyde doesn't make this defense any worst or any better.

Losing Peppers may be a blessing in disguise, we've got some young talents Martinez, Ryan, Fackrell that are going to step him and bring a bit more speed. Peppers was getting slower by year and losing in productivity his best years are done & this year if I recall right he didn't start or play the full games the first 4-6 weeks.

Losing Lang sucks cause he's a great guy and good talent but doesn't hurt us. Since McCarthy has been the coach of the Packers, no matter who is cut or released they've managed to groom a young linemen to step in and play to a high level.

Eddie Lacy is a player I would love having him back. His that big running back that you hate facing but love to have him when he's on all cylinders.

I don't think any defensive player in this years free agency would actually make the squad any better. Unless your going for Butler or Hightower which your probably going to dish out money & draft picks.

Luckily this years draft has a lot good talent on defensive backs. Let's just hope that Randall, Gunter & Rollins take a step forward. They are very young players playing one of the toughest position in the game, it can be mentally challenging.

I kind of agree with Teddy, in the last seasons whenever the offense starts hot we almost always win

In any case, the offense HAS to start out fast, because it seems utterly incapable of mounting a double-digit back.

It wasn't going to last, just like the offense sputtered against the Bears in the 2010 NFC Championship game. At some point, usually in the playoffs, the defense is going to have to step-up and shoulder the load if the Packers are ever going to win another Super Bowl. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening with this defense and Dom Capers anytime soon.

I enjoy two tight end sets, so I'm stoked about the free agency activity thus far. When Sitton was cut, the writing was on the wall for Lang. He got a ring with us and now he gets to go home. It's a win/win.

With the way this week has gone we either have a lot of work to do still or we're going into next FA with mass amounts of cap space.

I'd like to spend it this year. 1 more CB. Barwin, a DL and AP just for fun.

Too much emphasis on one player while making excuses for an entire side of the ball.

Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
