Your first sentence proves your second sentence wrong.

Murphy would have blown the whole thing up after the 2017 season, then The Packers would not have wasted this year.

I would bet they would have finished better than 6-9-1.

I'm just glad Murphy realized his screw up or was told to finish the job and go back to being the CEO.

So if that makes me a hater, then I'll tell you the same thing I heard for years.

Perhaps I am dense, but I really can’t understand the animosity towards Mark Murphy. The guy has been successful in everything he has done....including as an all pro safety, and as team president.

In my estimation, on the whole the franchise has been successful since he took over.
Did he wait a year to long to pull the trigger on Ted Thompson? Yes IMO
Did he wait too long on McCarthy? In my estimation yes, but only because McCarthy chose not to do anything about Dom Capers until way too late...and once you don’t fix a problem, you own it.

But let’s get a little sense of perspective...most other franchises, other than New England, would envy our track record.

The same people who are critical of Murphy and are concerned about his micromanagement are blaming him in essense for NOT micromanaging 2-3 years ago. They can’t have it both ways.

If Gutey and LaFleur don’t work out, that’s another story, but for now, give the man a break.

Yep, in the grand scheme it's Ted Thompsons fault for not realizing when it was time for him to move on and not having a solid succession plan in place.

Thompson seemed to be trying to develop young guys and we selected one of them so a succession plan might be working and do we know if he had any control or say I wrote who his replacement was? If no then why are we blaming him for succession plan?

How is it his responsibility for managing all the relationships that went sour, when they went sour because they didn't get promotions when he was forced out?

Not everyone is going to get the starting job, and people are going to sour because of it, that's a fact of life...

I still remember a project when I was in school, I sat next to my perfectionist friend... and the class was supposed to competing for a public display spot which honestly I didn't care because I thought I had no shot at, I never get it if there is only one spot.

My friend (and two others I believe) got a 100% on the project, I struggled but found it funny so I worked hard at it and somehow I got a 99% and the public display spot.

That basically soured my friendship with the perfectionist... by no fault of my own other than I was doing my best... also the teachers hated to give out 100s (it was very rare), but the perfectionist literally among started a physical fight with the extremely chill and laid back teacher when he got a 99 score and he was demanding and berating the teacher to his face about not getting 100...

Buckeye bombastically bloviated:

Although it would not normally be your job to check out what I say on this site, when you accuse me of having a rose colored glasses, I think it’s incumbent upon you to check out what I’ve posted.

If you had, you would note that I’ve been highly critical of TT, DC, McCarthy.

Further, I can only hypothesize that you have very little experience managing managers. It is the easiest thing in the world to have 20/20 hindsight and opine that one should’ve made a change in a year earlier. Intellectual and administrative perfection are impossible.

Further, had Murphy made the changes (DC, MM, et al) when you would’ve liked him to, he would have been micromanaging, which is the very thing you have accused Murphy of doing (and seem to be petrified of.)

I repeat you can’t have it both ways.

We've been telling buckeye that for week. Murphy can do no right, even if he does exactly what buckeye wants, he will still find a way to bitch about him.

As I stated, it’s easy to armchair quarterback. Not so easy if it’s actually your job to make the decisions.
We have hindsight that the guy making the decisions does not have.
There is no backlash to us fans, when the Packer leaders make decisions. It falls ONLY on their hands.
We can flip flop, and there are no consequences to us. In the REAL world, the guys actually making the decisions have REAL consequences.

And no matter what they do, it will tick off some people.

Boys I can do this all off season.

I didn't bring the subject back up.

I am perfectly happy with the way things are being run now.

The CEO is running the business.
The GM is preparing for the combine and draft and the HC is putting together his coaching staff and preparing for minicamps and ota's.

When the time comes, the players are selected, the team is put together and the season begins, you won't be seeing any negative posts from me, or posts that I disagree with this guy or that guy has no chance, or just another bust.
Because I do realize and have always realized, we as fans don't know jack shit.

You all want to keep attacking my 1 negative opinion, go right ahead.
BTW , as I stated earlier the team is being run THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!
The one thing I disagreed about.

I know when the time comes to support the team, whoever is chosen, you all will start your yearly bitching and moaning.

Have a great fucking off season!
