Yep, being a one man wrecking ball. Ideally, we'd have two moderators doing the moderating with escalations onto me and me just being the geek behind the code. I literally have a notebook of notes and drawings of features I want to add and I feel like I'm "babysitting" at times which just drains my ambitions to carry them out.

Not a fan of the name calling or labeling either but what bothers me even more is when people don't recognize their opinions as just that, opinions. They present their arguments as fact and anyone who does not agree with them not only disagrees with their opinion but is flat out wrong. This goes both ways on here, and on pretty much every forum and try as I might I am probably guilty of it myself. I get it that you think your opinion is the right one and that your way to fix things is the right way or best way to do it , that's why they are your opinions in the first place. All I would like to see is acknowledgement or at least some understanding that others opinions are just as valid as yours. I think if that happens discussions tend to not get so heated. There are very few facts presented in sports discussion forums. They are far and away more opinion than anything else.

I'm just getting warmed up. Plus I deleted a few posts I was going to make the other day.

As to Uffda's post count, like he says, he makes 1 post and 6 different people make posts against him so he replies to those 6 posts and he gets even more posts. I totally understand that part of his argument. I tend to have lots of posts because I read a post and I reply to it, usually I do read ahead to see if anyone else has but sometimes I duplicate a sentiment, but my point is I don't always use the multi quote system. Personally I think this is preferable to a single post replying to several different people or posts, unless the replies are about the same subject, because it keeps the posts on topic.

Do I have the record for the use of the word posts yet. If not I'll make a few more posts.

I really think the implementation of soft deleting posts is going to be a major blessing.

If you are going to start deleting posts you had better be prepared to delete any replies to those posts as well otherwise its pointless to see a "this post has been deleted" when there are 3 or 4 replies left in place. I'm not sure what soft deleting means and I'm afraid to google it but I am going to broach the subject with my girlfriend tonight so wish me luck. I just hope I don't get the same reaction as the guy by the pool when Rusty Griswold said he wanted to give his son a rim job.

Soft delete is just hiding the post. The author of said post can fix it. Stop being dramatic. It's painless.

Truth of the matter here, it has been a few a squeaky wheels that were getting my grease. Those squeaky wheels will simply be removed if the squeaking continues after the minor (yet profound) changes are established.

Kevin what you really need for those wrists is a Girlfriend that should relieve some of the pain 😊

We'll have to come up with something other than Soft Deleting because it seems that's easy to induce some freaking out over lol

I have followed this thread and I'm disturbed by what I read. Threats to vanquish members who's post are not politically correct. Erasing post that do not conform with and march in step with the majority.

It amazes me when actual events (game video) show a glaring problem but the politically correct crowd refuses to acknowledge that a problem exist. I often attribute this to youth and the belief that they know everything. 50+ years of following the NFL and the Packers has provided me with knowledge of great winners to dismal losers.

I'm just saying that I hope this forum is not turning into a place where fear prevents honest opinions from being posted.

Really? Wow, just WOW! That is disturbing! Why would anyone make up garbage to fit their hyperbolic paranoia? My goodness, rest assured, you have completely missed the boat on the future objectives. COMPLETELY.

I do regret generalizing all the right wingers in here and calling them Nazis and for that I apologize, but I never appreciated being called a Commie every fucking day either. I apologize to you Kevin for the trouble in the past, but I will not stand by while people denigrate gays, blacks, or any other minority, and hyena Uffda - whether I agree with him or not. It is complete bullshit that people think like that in this century.

I'll try and keep my posts about the Packers from here on out. I miss the family thing we once had, which I was quite involved with. I had a lot of support from the people here with my daughter's medical issues. It was very helpful! Anyway, hopefully we can get back to what we once were.

Troy I want to apologize to you. I probably over reacted to your post. We buried my uncle today. One of my responsibilities was to give the eulogy. I talked about how much I learned from him over the years without it seeming as if he was telling me what to do.
He was slowly eaten away by diabetes. He was diagnosed in the late 70’s. I thought he was so frail that I took him to a game in GB about 8-10 years ago because I was sure he wouldn’t be able to make the trip if I waited a yr or two. He was in hospice care 3 different times. Twice he rallied and got better. He was in the hospital and nursing home dozens of times and got strong enough to return home.
It seems petty to let the events on a website that we come to for enjoyment to get us worked up to the boiling point. I will try to do better.

What do you want from a Packers discussion board? What do you expect?

I want a place where I can maybe learn something, maybe provide knowledge on something or maybe just toss out an opinion that perhaps others haven't given any traction or just lay down my support for my team. The bottom line though is I want the experience to be enjoyable and to never be taken too seriously.

I would expect to be able to freely express my thoughts, opinions and insight without being subjected to merciless attacking and censorship.

You don't need to apologize, glad you came back. I was not kind, or respectful to any of you and your feelings because I didn't feel any of you actually took the time to consider the feelings of the poor people, gay people, or minorities that I felt you all denigrated with right wing bigotry. And I won't apologize for fighting fire with fire. That doesn't mean I dislike any of you, I just think you all need to take your thinking deeper on these issues.

Like I said, glad you came back, Wayne.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. If you're not willing to treat others with a basic level of respect even if they're being shitty, then you really have no place demanding that other people respect the people that you deem worthy of respect and they don't. The fact that you believe other people are wrong does not mean that by treating them shittily, you're doing anything to make it more likely for them to come around and realize hey, maybe I should treat EVERYONE (poor, rich, gay, straight, white, black, polkadot) with a basic level of common courtesy and human dignity. Because you're showing them the exact opposite, and they're seeing an advocate for the poor/LGBT/minorities being unapologically rude - and if that's the case, why should they be expected to approach the situation rationally? Why should they listen to someone that's saying that others should act one way, but they're allowed to act another way because they're right? Because back-assward or not, everyone thinks they're right and if you're not prepared to interact with people with a willingness to accept that, you're never going to convince anybody that there's other ways of approaching the world.

See these same problems in society in general where "conservatives" are willing to go wild over someone like Trump (who is far from conservative) because he's "tough" and "speaks his mind" and reflects people's inner anger. Or vote for a shitty member of their own party not because that person has anything in common with their own beliefs, but because they choose to believe that there's no third option or that by voting for someone they don't think has any chance of winning they're somehow wasting a vote. As if having an unpopular opinion means your opinion has no value and you have no business expressing it. Funny thing is, sometimes unpopular opinions are right in the end, or are just ahead of their times. In the end, if you're not willing to take action on your opinion rather than just complaining about other people not following suit, you've got no business complaining about any of it.

packerfanwayoutwest (2h) : it's part of building chemistry
packerfanwayoutwest (2h) : I know the OTA's are vouluntary, just seems like he would want to start seeing what the newbs are made of
Cheesey (3h) : The newbies need to learn the playbook first.
Zero2Cool (4h) : That doesn't happen until training camp. OTAs aren't like that. Which is probably why they're voluntary. That's my guess.
packerfanwayoutwest (5h) : doesn't he want the new WR to get on his bus?
Zero2Cool (5h) : Said something about the ramp up. No throwing. Throwing. No throwing and then training camp and throwing for months.
Zero2Cool (5h) : Rodgers said his arm never felt better during season than when he skipped OTAs in 2020.
civic (8h) : Load management? Maybe that’s why MLF is not too bothered?
civic (8h) : Do they want to use up a 38 year old arm when they are going to the super bowl?

packerfanwayoutwest (23h) : Why is #12 not at voluntary OTA's?
wpr (26-May) : Whatta jerk. ;)
Zero2Cool (26-May) : Christian Watson the only unsigned Packers draft pick now.
Zero2Cool (26-May) : NFL/NFLPA keep the 16-player practice squads, with the call-up previsions.

Zero2Cool (24-May) : Sammy Watkins not at OTA's. 9 year vet, but no Rodgers no sammy
