I'm not going to pretend that I'm following the draft as close as I once did. Those of you who are veterans to this board can probably recall all the reports I used to write. But the fact that Justin Jefferson or KJ Hamler could be in play for the Packers at No. 30 speaks volumes to the talent of this class. I think both would be top 20 picks in normal years. Frankly, I have a hunch Jefferson is going to go much higher than people believe. He's part of the reason Joe Burrow was so good.

To your point, I think the fact that college football is turning into a track meet due to offenses opening up has put a lot of defensive backs on an island. I think defenses are having issues adjusting to this development. A lot of the players lacking success don't lack talent nor are the coaches bad. The game is just tailored towards offense and we (as fans and coaches) need to reevaluate our expectations for defending the pass.
