Then I start dialog with Driver.. really sit down and talk about 2012 and his thoughts after that. If something can be worked out to make it less of a financial burden to retain him.. you let him part from the Packers. To me.. it really depends on what he has to say about realistically playing beyond 2012. If he really wants to do so.. then I think the right thing to do is allow him to find a team in which will carry his contract for more than 1 more season. He says he wants to play til 40 publicly... if that is the same privately.. shake his hand.

The guy that should lose majority of his snaps is Driver and James Jones for that matter.

People are prideful, especially football players. I’m not sure Driver is going to want to lose snaps to Cobb, but it needs to happen. This leads to Driver being the No. 5 receiver on the depth chart. I don’t know how you can keep him then. The No. 5 receiver must influence special teams. Driver is not going to do that. All good things must end.

Looks like there's an article  saying that they're going for a long term deal with Finley.

EDIT: Looks like PFT is getting in on it too.  So if they're going to straight up sign Finley, does that mean they're saving the tag for Flynn? Maybe they'll tag DD!

My personal opinion of importance...

Scott Wells
Jermichael Finley
Howard Green
Ryan Grant

I'm torn on Ryan Grant. He impressed me late in the season. If he's resigned at a reasonable price and earns a spot, I'm down. However, with Alex Green and Brandon Saine looking strong ... I'm not sure if he has a spot. Then again, James Starks seems to have injury problems.

Goners...
Matt Flynn - Miami's next QB
Erik Walden - Clean house, everyone but Clay Matthews III at OLB should be replaced, lol.
Pat Lee - I see no reason to try an keep him.

Green doesn't matter to me at all. DL tackles were as follows:
Pickett 33
Wilson 26
Raji 22
Wynn 19
Green 11
Neal 3
Granted none of the numbers are eye popping but that was due as much to the system as anything. And I am sure he was not in the game on most downs but he didn't amount to much in the over all scheme of things. Another younger chunk of beef can do just as well, maybe better. One of the things I noticed is that everyone else (except for Neal) had more tackles than assists. Green had more assists than real tackles.
