Green Bay — Very rarely do you see teams take risks at a premium position, but that's what the Green Bay Packers are doing at cornerback. The team let both Davon House and Tramon Williams test the market.

While it is appreciated that you want users to comment (as do we all), you have to realize how wrong you are for coming off like this, yet again. Try giving your thoughts on the topic and then asking the topic starter for their thoughts on it. You'll get better responses with that method.

Regarding this topic, I think Joe Whitt Jr does a great job and I'm surprised he hasn't been yanked for a defensive coordinator position. He's taken how many low picks and even undrafted kids and made them into something special.

I'm not sure Dix counts... as Safety has their own coach. Also seen people give Whitt credit for Tramon (not you) and I think Williams became the starter before Whitt got here... so while Tramon really like and respect Whitt, I'm not sure I can give Whitt credit for Williams break out either (though probably helped keep it up).

Tramon really didn't break out until 2010 tho when Whitt was here. Regardless of Tramon though he's had a number of CBs playing well as rookies with Shields, Hayward and Hyde all getting significant snaps as rookies.

Williams really broke out in 2008/2009 time frame.... just didn't get to start until 2010 because two very talented CB were over him, but he wasn't that far behind them.

He got his first starting snaps in 2009 when Al Harris went down but became one of the better cover corners in the league in 2010 but like I said we've had several rookies come in ready to play regardless of whether Whitt had anything to do with Tramon so lets not just focus on him.
