Watching Eddie rumble to a near stop on his 61 yard playoff run this is needed bad. How they couldn't get him into shape over a entire football season is beyond me.

Lacy must weight 260 or more if they want him to lose that much. Or they're "aiming high" by telling him to lose 30 in hopes he loses 20. 🙂

Lacy's ideal playing weight should be 225 lbs. Add 30 lbs to that and we get 255 lbs. If he cares about his job, he can loose that weight and get back in shape. I would recommend a place where his calorie intake would be restricted and monitored along with an exercise program. There are such places where someone with his money can afford the price they charge.

Where do we get what a professional football running backs ideal weight should be from? Did anyone bitch about Jerome Bettis' weight.

I just don't quite understand where these measurements come from when we say a player must be X tall and weigh Y. Short, tall, skinny, fat, who gives a damn as long as they produce on the field?

I'm not saying Eddie Lacy shouldn't shed some weight. We all watched that 61 yard brisk walk/jog in the playoff game. Eddie Lacy is is determined to get into better physical shape and that might be 240 or 220 and not a single damn one of us has any place to bitch about it, unless we know unequivocally it's the source of his failure to perform on the field.

The Packers liked what they saw when he was 230ish after college, at the combine, etc. so I highly doubt it's some universal ideal weight. Rather, it's the weight the Packers thought they were drafting.

I don't know what Lacy weighs or what his ideal weight is, but what he's at now doesn't seem to be ideal.

dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.

TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : Interesting draft. A bit shocked that we didn't select an early CB. Definitely have Safety help. Pretty happy overall.

TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
dhazer (27-Apr) : Anyone know what went on with Kitchens from Florida? At 1 point he was to be the Packers 1st round and he is way down the board now
