I wish Zook well but I'm glad he's gone.

In the past I've posted that GB was just maintaining the status quo (being complacent), and that changes at the GM and (recently) the HC positions were needed. I still believe that keeping Ted Thompson on the payroll, even as a scout, is a grave error.

GB appears to be cleaning house, but doing it in a high class way. 👍 Replacing Ron Zook as Special Teams Coach and allowing others to interview with other teams is a good start. I also expect DC Mike Pettine will (and should) have more to say in 2019 as far as who will be on his defensive staff.The choice of a new OC and Staff will be most intriguing.

An effective Special Teams play can be very important to a teams success. Punts, Kickoffs, Extra Points and "Special Plays" can often make the difference in some games. Preparing an effective ST is an important position and I hope that GB picks a very good man for the job.

One guy is responsible for the kick off team, punt team and field goal team? Which includes both both sides of the ball. Maybe there should be a ST Coach for each team?

Ron Zook had an assistant, just like the other coordinators.
