His knee is why he was out of football for a few months. He's working on getting into football shape. So, they are taking it slow with him and since he's limited, they put limited and they have to give a reason why which would be his knee.

I think that's how it goes down.

I didn't know you have to have an explicit reason to be limited in practice. You don't have to have an injury in order to be inactive on gameday. So, barring injury, the guys who are inactive on gameday are also full participants in practice?

It's an injury that's keeping him out. plain and simple. he had knee surgery, and he's not healed enough to play yet, so he's out with a knee injury. Right?
