I know its far to early to listen to what he says but I can see why he'd consider hanging them up.

Next year he has this road schedule:

Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, New York Jets.

One indoor the rest outdoor and cold and potentially tough games with good defences (Pack, Eagles, Jets, Pats, Saints, maybe Skins, Bears).

This year was perfect for him.

Soft schedule, one cold weather game all season, lots of nice arenas for him to play indoors.

He's an old man coming off another bruising NFCCG defeat. If he can't get it done this year with everything in his favour, next year doesn't look promising.

I agree. He had his best chance this year.
But who knows with him? He might come back anyway.

i heard Warner is retiring and Favre is going to AZ next, easy division warm weather and top wrs.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Considering the domination in the Metrodome, he is already probably guaranteed 6-2, so 4-4 on the road and you still make hte playoffs. I think it will come down to family to him. Does his family want to go through another year? PHysically he's fine, he loves his teammates, he can still play, etc.

Brett Favre's road schedule:

Drive down to Menards for some stuff, followed by the local radio station for an interview and has earned himself a trip to go do another Wrangler Jeans commercial.

However, it's the home schedule that's brutal:

Sitting on his tractor mowing grass all day, or deer hunting all day, or not having a job sitting at home all day watching TV soaps.

If that happened that would be totally awesome (unless they played the Packers of course). I don't mind him playing for another team, it just stings that it's with an archrival.

That TheEngineer knows what Menards is I find extremely humorous.

Well since he inked a two year deal, he would have to pull his little switcher-o again.. retire, force the Vikes to cut his bloated salary then flirt all summer with the Cards.

That would frost the nuts of the Viking faithful...

And seal the deal on the most self serving ploys in NFL history, almost in the John Elway, Eli, and TO proportions. Thinking about it.. Buss can play 'dumb' enough to pull it off. ;)

Then we can see if he can make it 4 for 4 with final throws. lol.
