Wade - Maybe a problem with rockers, but not with Metalheads. Metalheads generally have a good understanding of music. Myself I like the Romantic era of music from Beethoven to Dvorak's New World Symphony (referring to the time period, not the pieces themselves).

I've seen the best American pianist (Van Cliburn) but unfortunately missed Isaac Perlman's conducting debut when he was touring as a conductor. Of course, would have rather seen him as a violinist, as Perlman is one of those once in a lifetime musicians.

So, contrary to popular opinion, Metalheads are not meatheads. We know our shit.

In case you're wondering, Cliburn played Tchaikovsky's 1st Piano Concerto.

I'll have to look up Fats Waller. Long story short on Van Cliburn. In the heart of the Cold War, Van Cliburn went to Russia and beat the Russians at their own Tchaikovsky festival, even with several of the judges cheating (intentionally lowering their scores because he was an American). He played Tchaikovsky's 1st Piano Concerto, which was the greatest piece ever written on the piano.
