So even in your dreams you're not overly fast. Man, how slow must you be in real life?

Anyboobies, I wouldn't mind seeing Brandon Saine get some action. Lord knows that Starks fella and Grant dude are not pumping out 100 yard games for the Packers at all.

From the article, it said something about 4.4 speed. I run that fast in my sleep.

The guy has some speed.

This is from an article from 2006...

Ginn, who will be a junior at OSU this fall, is a versatile wide receiver who also runs sweeps and reverses and boasts tremendous speed. Saine has those same qualities. The powerful 6-foot 210-pounder can bench-press 305 pounds and recently was hand-timed at a blazing 4.2 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Anyway, I'm not going along with Nerdmann's ridiculous mancrushes on every single new RB we sign. From what I've seen, I don't know why he'd be better than Grant. A guy who's biggest asset, at his size, is his speed and very little else that sets him apart.

Um....

Ryan Grant is not our 3rd down back and never will be. He is our starting HB because 🇲🇲 and 🇹🇹 want to get their money's worth before they let him go prior to the 2012 season. Grant used to be a top 10 RB. As I have feared, he didn't heal completely from injury.

Saine won't be leapfrogging Grant because Grant > Saine, despite Grant not healing completely from injury.

🇹🇹 will draft a RB in 2012 who will be our #2 RB behind Starks. Saine will not be that person.

What Dakota said was right on. We may have our replacement to Brandon Jackson. Yay! I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Ryan Grant........69 carries...251yds..3.6avg...long 14....td's 0

James Starks....109 carries...503yds..4.6avg...long 40....td's 1

Alex Green.........3 carries... 11yds..3.7avg...long 8....td's 0

I agree with Zombie, Grant is listed as the starter, although Starks has recieved more carries and has a better stat line.

This is one of the things I really like about this team, they don't seem to get all caught up in "labels".

Just looking at the stats, I wonder how burnt out either back would be if they had to carry the whole load the first 9 games. Combined that would be 178 carries for 754yds, that would be very impressive, but not realistic.

The running game is going to get more important as the weather turns, instead of having 1RB who would probably be wearing down at this point, The Packers have 2 really good backs who remain fresh and ready for the playoff stretch.

As far as Brandon Saine, I sure hope he gets a few chances this week and performs well.

From watching him at Ohio State, he has the ability to be a receiver out of the backfield and he was an above average blocker, if he can show he can contribute at this level it would just be another plus for The Packers offense.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Grant won't be back next year. They are preparing for the future.

Grant is the starter, because they want to give props to him as a veteran. Starks has surpassed him. Green and Saine are better than Grant too, imo. They just haven't gotten their shots yet. Not saying that because I have a mancrush. Only because it's true.

Agreed. Though Grant has always been a player who seems to heat up with more carries. The one time this year he was given the load, he rushed it 19 times for 92 yards.

You saying it's true doesn't make it true. What evidence is there for either of these guys being better than Rodgers?

Fast isn't the same as good.

It looks like if Saine gets any action it will be filling in for Starks.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.
