I don't think the cold effected him as much in the NFCCG as the Bears did. Rodgers always struggles a bit against the Bears.

He played great vs the Giants in the cold last year. But I see where you are coming from.

A-Rod doesn't play nearly as well in cold as he does in heat and domes.

They haven't published the game book over at NFL.com yet, but if I'm not mistaken, the temperature at Arrowhead Stadium today was something like 50°F with light winds at kickoff. It was warmer in Kansas City than it was in Green Bay. Whatever the problems were facing the Packers today, weather played little to no effect.

Didn't even mention Crosby's missed field goal and Cobb's lack of impact in the return game.

Obviously, a 59-yard attempt is a dicey proposition at the best of times, but those kicks didn't even have a chance. You could see from the moment they left his foot that they were going to miss wide right. The commentators were saying it might have been a bad snap or placement after the first attempt, but two in a row?

Hopefully, this humiliating performance will help us get over ourselves and convince us that we still have plenty to work on.

Made me wonder what was going on behind the scenes to have morale look so low. If Dexter_Sinister is right and the team didn't care about the game because they saw it as meaningless, that doesn't say much good about the character of this squad, especially since home field advantage was still theirs for the taking -- against a pathetic team, no less. The Chiefs certainly didn't see it as meaningless, and they had nothing whatsoever to play for.

They came into the game claiming they wanted to leave their stamp on history, but nothing they did today gave the slightest clue that they cared about that at all.

I was thinking of that '96 game at Arrowhead, too. That was the worst game we played all year there.

I apologize a bit for the cold weather comment. I lived in WI for 17 years but I live in FL now. 50 is cold for down here!

I agree about the apoplexy, Nonstop. We didn't look like we cared that much about winning today. If it's a speed bump, I'm cool with it. I just don't want the game today to become a pattern that will trip us up in the postseason. If we win the Super Bowl, I'm kosher with a loss here and there.

Being beat by a superior opponent when our team is playing to its potential and simply isn't good enough to get it done -- that doesn't bother me. But when my team falls on its face, beating itself in a game against an inferior opponent -- that pisses me off just as much now as when it happened against the 0-10 Colts all those years ago.

Yes Crosby missed both times, but I got the impression that he tried to hit it to the right so the wind could carry it in. According to the flags on the uprights, the wind was blowing left pretty hard.

I agree. They did match up pretty well against us, though. Good secondary, at least they played well today.

Walden is wasting space on our D..

i've been watching him specificly for alot of games now. He has no ability to get passed single-blocking, his blitzes consist of running at the OT, pulling up, and getting blocked.

This week however, he unveiled a new tactic! run waaaaay around the tackle, get blocked, then run aaaaalll the way back to the LoS, and get blocked.

(^ I will try to find the video, it's peewee league BS)

no wonder we have such a crappy pass-rush, our ILBs are pulling up before contact too, every fucking time.

he is next to worthless in coverage... I just don't see why he is on the field.

Yes Haters – the Packers are beatable. Every team in the NFL is.

HOWEVER – they ARE the best team in the NFL, and it’s not close.

Think of all that had to happen today for the Packers to lose:

1. 3 out of 4 of their OT’s out – including both probowl starters.

2. The Best WR on the team out.

3. The best run stuffing DL on the team out.

4. The best run stuffing LB on the team out.

5. The best safety in the NFL out.

6. 5 sacks. 6 drops.

7. A bad non-call fumble into the end zone by the Chiefs.

8. For the first time all year – no turnovers created by the D.

9. The Chiefs going for broke with all sorts of trick plays. Aggressive playcalling.

And they STILL barely lost. Except Collins and Sherrod, those players are all coming back soon.

IMO – not likely to happen again. I (and 99% of GB fans) did want to go 19-0. But we’ll “settle” for the Super Bowl.

Point 5 is probably laughable. Point 7 is still a source of bewilderment for me. I am surprised McCarthy didn't challenge that play. It should have resulted in a touchback , Green Bay possession.
