How big of a fine should Brady get for this cheap shot. If the timing was just a little off. He easily could have taken out a knee, or broken a bone.

Brady's Cheap Shot

pretty sad the difference in reaction he got for doing that than say the reaction suh would have got.

Ty Cobb use to slide that with both legs in the air. They say he use to sharpen his cleats right by the other team's dugout.

As for Brady, seems like the luster has been knocked off that boy. He'll probably get $10K, being his first offense, but a big loser in the court of public opnion.

Puhlease... he won't get fined. Not a dime. Even though it was clearly intentional.

The defender could have grabbed his leg and broke it like a wishbone.
And who would have blamed him?
There's no place for crap like that. But as was said, he's a "star" player and probably won't have to be held accountable for his actions.

Althought it was a horrible play and it should've been flagged, the way Brady handled it afterwards is what sets him apart from a player like Suh.

And, of course, the frequency of these kinds of plays.

But, anyway, on the first point...

Ed Reed: Brady apologized for slide

by Josh Alper

Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has been banging the drum to get the NFL to discipline Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for a slide during the AFC Championship Game, a play that Brady has since apologized for making.

Pollard thought that Brady intentionally tried to kick Ravens safety Ed Reed at the end of a run when he slid with his right leg higher than you’d expect to see on such a play. During a radio interview with WJZ in Baltimore, Reed said that he heard from Brady after the game about the slide in question.

“We talked actually not too long ago, we talked on the phone. He actually reached out to me, texted me,” Reed said, via ESPNBoston.com. “I tried to text him back, but the message exploded after 12 seconds, so I had to call him … and he’s just apologized and what not. But I told him, ‘You know, it’s good, man.’”

Reed went on to say that he doesn’t think Brady is a dirty player and that “emotions get going in the game.” NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told the website Tuesday that “any play of that nature is routinely reviewed” so Pollard might yet get his wish granted.

Nonstopdrivel (6h) : There's a reason why teams spent so much money on receivers this offseason. They knew the new rules would favor receivers and that there was a good chance passing efficiency would be way up this year.
dhazer (7h) : Hell Brees has a 79% completion rate for the year
Nonstopdrivel (20-Nov) : The Chiefs just became the first NFL team ever to score 50 or more points and lose.
Nonstopdrivel (20-Nov) : Anyone around to hit up the chat room?
Nonstopdrivel (20-Nov) : I love the Rams' style of play.
Porforis (20-Nov) : That's what he said.
Zero2Cool (20-Nov) : that's what she said
gbguy20 (19-Nov) : ill take some of that please
Nonstopdrivel (19-Nov) : Over the last three games, Brees has completed 83 percent of his passes for 974 yards, 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. Those numbers are ridiculous.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : @RobDemovsky Look for the Packers to add a D-lineman in the next 48 hours. McCarthy said he and Brian Gutekunst discussed that today.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : McCarthy says may have to add a defensive lineman with Daniels out several weeks.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : @TomSilverstein McCarthy said Graham will try to work with different splints and said every injury is different so it's hard to say whether it will work out.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : Raiders set to sign WR Keon Hatcher off Packers' practice squad, source says.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : Probably should, but it won't. It'll be same shit we've seen since 2012. Defenses aren't surprised.
packerfanoutwest (19-Nov) : that should give the team so insentive..right?
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : Panthers lose, Packers win, next week and we're 6th seed. Stupid.
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : Rumor about Jaguars trading Jalen Ramsey after season. No chance.
Nonstopdrivel (19-Nov) : Where is everyone? The action is in the chat room.
KRK (19-Nov) : im not seeing anything in chat
hardrocker950 (19-Nov) : Checkdowns don't exist in our offensive scheme lol
Nonstopdrivel (19-Nov) : You guys should get your happy asses in the chat room.
Nonstopdrivel (19-Nov) : That was supposed to be "the checkdown." Heh.
hardrocker950 (19-Nov) : All things I don't see from the Pack
hardrocker950 (19-Nov) : Yup, taking 5 yard completions when they are covering downfield... trusting their rb to make plays...
KRK (19-Nov) : more creativity from the Bears in one drive than the Packers in an entire game.
hardrocker950 (19-Nov) : Was just thinking that NSD
Nonstopdrivel (19-Nov) : Sure does make me jealous to watch Trubisky take TNT checkdown for a first-down gain.
KRK (19-Nov) : Viking guards getting stuffed
Zero2Cool (19-Nov) : @ESPNStatsInfo Philadelphia's 41-point loss to New Orleans is the largest by a defending Super Bowl champion.
Nonstopdrivel (18-Nov) : Saints have only punted 20 times ALL SEASON.
gbguy20 (18-Nov) : alex broke fibula and tibia, was taken to a hospital for immediate surgery
hardrocker950 (18-Nov) : The Alex Smith injury looks BAD
Nonstopdrivel (18-Nov) : 33 years to the day that Joe Theismann went down with a right leg injury.
gbguy20 (18-Nov) : nvm apparently cam is fine. drama queen
gbguy20 (18-Nov) : alex Smith and cam Newton both went down today. both teams ahead of us in the playoff race
