The Packers have reduced the salary of DE Johnny Jolly from $2.521 million to $715,000, saving them approximately $1.8 million of cap space.

I don't mind it. I didn't realize that they could get Jolly and the agent to adjust the contract.

I think this is good. Redemption. I hope Johnny Jolly achieves that and more. Sounds like he has had about as rough an upbringing as anyone could imagine, and I am glad to know he will have a shot to return to play again for the Packers, and to redeem himself.

Yep teddy is giving him a chance.. I like it and its pretty cheap to give him a shot. From ehat I read and seen on twitter jolly loves the pack..

Yeah, it means they're bringing him back.

It also PROBABLY means that they've taken a look at him and they think he has a shot at being able to play at an NFL level.

The Packers haven’t declared that they’re bringing Johnny Jolly back, but they just made it easier to swallow if they did. When Jolly was suspended in 2010 for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, he had been tendered a $2.521 million contract as a restricted free agent. The Packers still haven't said whether they plan to give reinstated defensive end Johnny Jolly another shot, but perhaps an indication of that came when he agreed to restructure his contract.
