Even if Ted Thompson wanted to make a move, I seriously doubt the Packers would be able to afford. Until the contract situations of Rodgers, Matthews, and Raji get resolved, there won't be any "big name" moves happening. Only way something like this happens is if Finley or Tramon get cut/traded.

I also very much doubt this happens. If he's 29 and has a contract expiring in a year or two, he isn't worth too much. As for affording him, the whole salary cap situation is greatly overrated as a problem. There are a lot of ways of structuring things to get a big contract figure with a not as big cap hit.

I'm hoping Ted Thompson doesn't trade because he feels the answers are already on the team. If the opposite is true he definitely needs to address the problem ASAP so Aaron doesn't get killed. I think the real key is how confident they are that Sherrod and Bulaga will come back 100% from their injuries, Datko could be a dark horse, it will be interesting to see if he can get healthy and make a big jump. The possibilities are there, hopefully they make the correct decisions as to the answers being there.

As the FA prices continues to drop, is it an idea to poke around Andre Smith to see if he will sign a team friend deal perfomance based? He is a risk but if you could get him to bite on a contract that is pay as you go with alot of incentives, it might not be a bad idea?

With the chiefs drafting Eric fisher with the first overall pick and having franchised Branden Albert but refusing to switch to RT would you encourage a trade for Albert? What would you give up?

You know, I forgot we would be dealing with one of our former staff in John Dorsey. All of a sudden, a trade like this could make a great deal of sense. Dorsey knows the value of the players on our roster, and we will be cutting some good ones. Dorsey can secure a couple good players for rebuilding his team. This could be good value for both teams. A possibility for sure.

Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
wpr (2-Apr) : It has Martha. I was stunned when I was in HS to learn Iowa was still playing half court BB in the 70's.
