Another week has gone by in Packers land and most of the detailed analysis of who is doing what has been investigated, instigated and fumigated which leaves so much of the real news drifting away. this post has so many sections to it it will surely wonder all over the place. I will begin with the first section of the article.

By now many of you may have heard that the NFL has implemented a new policy that prohibits you from being able to bring in just about anything to a stadium.

You see under the new policies, fans can no longer bring in seat cushions to sit on.

The NFL in their extreme pursuit of greed and the almighty Yen have banished a heck of a lot more stuff in the name of security than I have seen at any other professional sporting event. There is no stopping them short of a class action law suit and that will never happen. I have brought a few snacks and even bottles of water with their lids still on (the horror of it all) into several MLB stadiums. Es ist verboten under the heavy hand of the NFL. The excuse they have given is that bottles with their caps on can be used as weapons of destruction. I suppose the now defunct twinkie fell into the same category.

The plastic bag thing, although it is ridiculous, will not necessarily cost people money. People don't have to buy an NFL licensed bag and like someone on another site said I'm sure there will be plenty of free promotional ones given away. The seat cushion thing however, is absurd. Do they expect people to buy a new one for every game? I'm sure there will be a few promos for that as well but every week? I know in Green Bay they make a bit of money renting out the seats (although that may be as much for the seat back as for the cushion) so would they want a different sponsor giving away free cushions each week?

I understand safety and all but how far will they take it?

"Lost in the shuffle of all things Brett Favre being welcomed back and Donald Driver being immortalized with his own statue was the fact that A.J. Hawk was presented with the Professional Achievement Award at the 14th Annual Lee Remmel Sports Awards Banquet this week. Along with Packers great Dave Robinson, Hawk was recognized for his play on the field and more importantly his contributions off the field, which include representing the Wisconsin Special Olympics as a spokesperson; and supporting such organizations as the the Jerry Parins Cruise for Cancer, the Donald Driver Foundation, the Al Harris Outreach Program the 2nd & 7 Foundation, and the Greg Jennings Foundation (I only mention this because it is a charitable foundation).

This then leads me to ask, why is A.J. Hawk so unloved by the masses? It seems every time I read something about the guy it is how he has failed to live up to the expectations of a high draft pick and that he is failing to produce on the field. In the seven years he has played for the Packers, he has played in 110 of 112 games. He is consistent and more importantly, he clearly shows the command and leadership necessary to lead the defense and is counted on for doing just that.

So to all you A.J. Hawk haters, take off!"
I guess i was wrong, there are Hawk supporters out there.
Back on the A.J. Hawk Bandwagon!!!!

Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.

beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
