Those who participated last season, have first dibs on retaining their team. If someone fails to respond in an adequate amount of time, then we use the reserve/waiting list to fill the position/s.

Around mid-late August is when the roster of players will have to be solidified.

Gotta have all the players set and set the draft to work for as many included.

Basically, there are 14 teams. Each team has up to 3 keepers on it. Now, who owns those teams? That can change from year to year.

Example, I owned team MutatedMonkeyNuts last season, so I will continue with that team this 2013 season while selecting up to 3 players to keep for 2013 that I had during the 2012 season.

Lets say I opt out, or say 'eh I will pass this year' and my team goes to the first on the waiting list. That person then gets to choose up to 3 players to keep from the roster I drafted in 2012 for their 2013 draft.

I don't know if I helped or made it more confusing. But if you inherit a team, then you choose from that roster which players to keep.

It wasn't decided to be a keeper league until well after the season concluded.

If this isn't the proper/best way to go about this, feedback is appreciated. Personally, I didn't think it would be a problem and thought it would be an added bonus to have the option of keeping three from the 2012 roster. 🤷

It really doesn't matter to me, as I'm going to play either way, but I just thought I would throw that out there.

It doesn't matter to me. If several come forward disliking this, we can always draft full fresh and do 2014 as keeper from 2013.
