- Let’s not be so quick in crowning backup QB Coleman over Harrell. Coleman had a handful of rookie miscues today that show he is still going through the growing pains of NFL assimilation and QB development. The backup competition has not been as thrilling as fans and coaches would like but Harrell, based on his experience alone, should still be considered the frontrunner for the job to this point.

- Franklin’s initial glory has fallen back to earth for now. The rookie out of UCLA struggled today in pass protection drills, receiving, and fielding returns. He must improve in all three areas to secure a featured role on the team this season. Franklin’s issues at returner left coach to make the statement that if games were played today, Cobb would be the starter at that position.

- Datone Jones Datone Jones Datone Jones. Yes I sound like a broken record on purpose. The guy is a stud. He continues to beast during team drills and 1 on 1s.

- Speaking of 1 on 1s, OT Datko has been downgraded in my books. Bakhtiari has become my new prospect to watch. Coaches have noticed him succeed more in drills and increased his reps as a result.

- Tough break for Jolly during practice today as the returning vet went down with an ankle injury. There is currently no time-table set for his return. Based on the current depth on the defensive line, this is potentially a huge blow to his chances of making the team if it develops into a long term injury.

We got to wish the other way. Someone else has GOT to step up. The fact is that right now Cobb is the most dependable and talented option we have back there. We all know how valuable he is as a receiver, but at the same time, don't you always want to go with the "best option"?

Exactly! Some folks would rather remove Cobb for the sake of removing him. I prefer to have someone be BETTER than Cobb and TAKE the position away.

No No No you are wrong. Since Cobb is such an important part of our receiving corps it is absolutely essential that we put someone else back there returning kicks. It doesn't matter if this someone is not up to the job. All that matters is that we don't place any undue risk on Cobb. Let some guy who can't field a punt or return to save his life do the job. Cobb can not be place at risk in any way shape or form. So what if he is without a doubt our best return guy, let someone else do it so he isn't exposed to an infinitesimal amount of extra risk

In fact, the only time Cobb should be on the field is if he is going to get the ball. If its going to be a running play Cobb had better be getting the hand off or he had better be on the bench. It makes no sense to expose him to injury like that. Why would you put such important players on the field if you are not going to use them. That makes no sense what so ever.

GoPack1984 (5m) : I hope not. Please be something like 41-28 Packers.
uffda udfa (11m) : I agree with Chmura. This looks like a double 40 burger.
uffda udfa (16m) : The hug on the sidelines?
uffda udfa (16m) : What seemed so emotional?
Zero2Cool (33m) : No, but I am curious why that seemed so emotional. I might be reading into it too much.
uffda udfa (45m) : Anyone ever get confused looking at Alex Van Pelt thinking it's MM?
uffda udfa (2h) : I hope they aren't going to dial it down believing in destiny .
Zero2Cool (2h) : Jason Wilde: Packers "feel like a team of destiny"
uffda udfa (4h) : They'll need all the Julio Joneses they can get.
Zero2Cool (5h) : Chmura: "I'll tell you this: Atlanta's going to score 40 points. They are. The #Packers are going to have to score 41."
Zero2Cool (10h) : Damn-Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells reporters that WR Julio Jones (foot) will be limited this week but will be “ready to rock” on Sunday.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Packers defense has a red zone INT in each of the last 3 games... Hyde with two of them. (One being the clutch 4thQ INT vs DET in Week 17)
Zero2Cool (11h) : Randall Cobb, Damarious Randall, Quentin Rollins, James Starks, Clay Matthews, Ty Montgomery & Jared Cook. OUT
Zero2Cool (11h) : Packers inactive list when they lost 33-32 to the Falcons week 8.
Zero2Cool (12h) : There is no emphasis, it's just a little bit of info. Take it or leave it. No harm.
Smokey (12h) : Zero, I believe that you and some others place too much emphasis upon data. no harm intended.
Zero2Cool (12h) : It’s the 1st time since 1970 all 4 conference championship teams finished the regular season on winning streaks of 4+ games
TheKanataThrilla (12h) : Salt mine. Love it.
TheKanataThrilla (12h) : The refs kept that game close. We should have blown them out early.
DarkaneRules (13h) : Hyde and Gunter are special and I'm hopeful D Ran gets back to where he can be
mi_keys (13h) : That whole forum is a salt mine. It's beautiful.
Zero2Cool (13h) : Burnett's back up, Kentrell Brice lead team in tackles.
uffda udfa (18h) : Hilarious reading below. I like Carter. Only guy who gets it.
uffda udfa (18h) : http://boards.dallascowboys.com/topic/71647-so-we-are-supposed-to-believe/#entry3978081
uffda udfa (19h) : Great news.
Zero2Cool (22h) : Jordy has "legitimate hope" to play, per @RobDemovsky.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Packers had one call on defense if called, no issue, wans't called. I didn't watch OL so dunno. I watched WR's
Zero2Cool (23h) : Dallas OL had some holds weren't called and 2 defensive holds, not called.
uffda udfa (23h) : I think the Pi vs just a holding call is a legit complaint. Terrible call.
GoPack1984 (23h) : Dallas can't complain about the officials. They got away with so many defensive holding calls.
uffda udfa (23h) : Dallas radio postgame: Dallas wins 7 out of 10 times.
uffda udfa (23h) : Brice led Pack w/ 6 tackles including the hardest of the game.
uffda udfa (16-Jan) : Post game show said same thing. Everyone wondering how it didn't stay left.
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Tornado warning forces players, fans to stay put at AT&T Stadium
Zero2Cool (16-Jan) : Skip:More I see winning FG, more I see a very weird thing: It hooked hard left, then straightened out. Obviously no wind. Like meant to be
