"Early indications" are that the sprained ankle isn't serious.

Even if that is the case, this is so bloody annoying. Just once could we be relatively healthy as a team? Is that really so much to ask?

I'm gonna be optimistic rather than freaking out about this.

1.They got him out there so fast this week. An ankle seems to be a critical part of a Lineman.

2.They need to rest him till the regular season opener. It's the best thing to do for his health and our team. It may lither his progress, but i'd rather have him at full strength than set backs after set backs after set backs.

3. Good thing we got other D-Linemen stepping up this year, otherwise we'd be in trouble if he really got hurt.

4. I'm a believer that Jones will be a huge X-Factor this year. Some people think he's Justin Harrell 2.0.... Ya shut the hell up 🙂 He'll be just fine. Just pray for a healthy recovery when week 1 arrives.

Honestly I'm trying to look on the bright side of this... does this up the chances they keep 8 DL? (with Neal splitting time at OLB).

A sprain takes time, it's been less than two weeks, he won't be 100% this year. Personally, I would not have played him at all until the last preseason game and then on a limited basis. It would have set his progress back, but I would have traded that in order to have him as healthy as possible. I'm disappointed with this.
