Drafted in the late rounds by the Packers. Wins backup job over 2nd round draft selection of the same year.
Signs fairly big contract with Seahawks, loses starting job to rookie.
Traded to the Raiders, loses starting job to 2nd year quarterback.

This dude can't catch a break.

I am wondering if the Packers are waiting for the Raiders to cut him given the Raiders QB surplus situation. I don't know how his contract works, but if does get cut and clears waivers do we get to sign him for whatever he will take and not be on the hook for his salary next year? I would certainly like to see Flynn back in GB rather than their current back-up QB situation. Wallace seems adequate and comes from a WCO background that should allow him to learn the playbook, but Flynn would be a best option of those who could become available.

I wouldn't mind having him back here as insurance.
But at a backup's salary, not at a starting QB salary.

I would be shocked if he cleared waivers with the QB situation of the Jets, Jaguars, and Bills. On the other hand I might still be looking at him through green and gold colored glasses.

I agree, someone would snap him up.

He should not have to clear waivers, doesn't he have enough time in the league to be a free agent? I think he does...no?

is it not catching a break or is it not having the ability to lead your team as a starting qb, he had 2 starts with the pack , both excellent starts but 2 games is not a sure fire starter, there must be something to it if he cant make the oakland raiders as there starter!!

Also, he got a pretty good break when he signed the Seahawks contract.

Nonstopdrivel (14h) : What was the average YPA leaguewide that year vs. this year?
Zero2Cool (14h) : In 1998 Brett Favre led the NFL in completion percentage, with 63.0%. In 2018 the league-average completion percentage is 65.1%.

Nonstopdrivel (15-Nov) : It's crazy to think that RGIII might get a start this week.
TheKanataThrilla (14-Nov) : It is hard to compare the TD:INT ratio of Aaron to Tom Brady with all the intentional throw aways this year.
Porforis (14-Nov) : Sometimes there's a fine line between a simple exchange and a good topic and by the time I realize I cross that line I'm done with the conversation anyways lol
Zero2Cool (14-Nov) : put your good work in a topic!
Zero2Cool (14-Nov) : Rourke, topics ... they are free to create.
Nonstopdrivel (14-Nov) : 9.77 yards per attempt is stellar.
Nonstopdrivel (14-Nov) : His completion percentage is 67.1 but his TD:INT ratio is pretty abysmal. What bumps his passer rating is his phenomenal average per attempt.
Porforis (14-Nov) : I'm shocked his passer rating is that high. He's #29 in the leauge with a 61.1% completion percentage
Nonstopdrivel (14-Nov) : On that scale, Ryan Fitzpatrick is the best QB in the league this season and Brock Osweiler is the worst.
Nonstopdrivel (14-Nov) : I compiled all the NextGen stats and normalized them, and the final ratings ranged from 64.8 to 34.4 on a 100-pt scale. That's not helpful at all.
Nonstopdrivel (14-Nov) : NextGen stats really suck for ranking QBs. The standard deviations are just too tiny. There's no spread.
