Barnett spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Packers. He was with the Buffalo Bills for two seasons before signing with the Redskins in training camp.

Barnett said he knows “the vicinity of” the visitor’s locker room at Lambeau Field, acknowledging that it will be “pretty weird” to take the field at the legendary stadium as a Packers’ opponent.

Barnett was released by the Packers in the summer of 2011 just after the lockout ended. He’d ended the 2010 season on the injured reserve list because of a wrist injury. He said Wednesday he has no lingering ill will.

“Obviously I didn’t want to go because I was injured, coming off of IR and then going into a lockout,” Barnett said. “So it was kind of an awkward situation. But I don’t think I left on any negative terms. I think everything was good. It was just part of the business.”


It is good that Nick is still in the league. I have no ill will toward him. I hope he has an okay game but I don't want to see him play too well.

I only watched the 1st half of the Philly-Skins game and I don't recall hearing his name.
Does he get on the field at all?
I would like to watch Lacy run over him a few times.
He was never one of my favorite Packers.

Yeah, with Barnett on the field, Lacy's YPC should go up. Always loved the way Barnett tackles always netted the running back and extra three yards. [sarcasm]

Barnett was one of Sherman's relatively few good draft picks. But I always thought he was a little soft. Kind of the "Darrien Sharpier" of LBs.

Sherman kind of anointed him as a rookie, and it went from there. Dude would have a hissy fit if they tried to move him outside.
