The Washington Post has given their 5 things to watch for on Sunday:

1) QB Griffen's progress back from surgery. He did not play very much in the preseason and was rusty last week. They think if he can get the timing down with receivers he might have a big game.

2) They think Redskin strong safety will be back in the line up after a lingering groin injury. Defensive coordinator, Jim Haslett, doesn't know what to expect because he has not seen the guy play a full game.

3) RB Alfred Morris did not have a good game last week and with the Redskins behind most of the game opportunities were limited. "But it won’t be easy. The Packers last week limited Frank Gore to just 44 yards on 21 carries (2.1 ypc), and held San Francisco as a whole to 90 rushing yards."

4) "The Redskins last season ranked fifth in the league stopping the run. Teams managed just 95.8 yards a game against Washington. But Monday, the Eagles gashed the Redskins for 263 rushing yards. A solid game by Lacy will make Rodgers and the Packers only more dangerous."

5) "Left tackle Trent Williams draws a stiff challenge this week as fellow Pro Bowler Clay Matthews leads the Packers’ pass-rushing charge. Matthews last week recorded eight tackles, a sack and two more hits on the quarterback. The Packers could flip-flop him some to exploit mismatches, so right tackle Tyler Polumbus also must have a strong game. The Redskins’ interior linemen struggled to fend off Philadelphia’s pass rushers, and Griffin got sacked three times, hit another nine times. Griffin – normally never one to criticize his teammates – said of the Eagles, “They had some gaping holes to come through and get me.” Washington’s linemen must do better this week. It’s a copycat league, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Packers run some of the same blitz packages if they think they can exploit that weakness. How will the Redskins adapt?"

The Redskins have a lot more issues to deal with than the Packers. This could be a 38 to 17 game.

J. Finley (toe, probable),
N. Perry (neck, full today, probable),
J. Sitton (back, limited today, questionable)
C. Hayward (hamstring, out).

A couple of thoughts:

No playoff team has started the season 0-2 since 2008.

Aaron Rodgers has never beaten the Washington Redskins.

I think the Redskins start the season 0-2.

Offense moves the ball well enough and the defense keeps RGIII in check for most of the game before conceding some garbage points: 31-21.

Wilson injured? Did not read anything this week. This just a coaches decision?

Our back end is just as big of a problem as theirs. We are evenly matched there and I think this is the game the Skins pass rush gives us fits for a while. We need to run game to catch on a bit and I think it will. That is why I think the game stays uncomfortably close for a while but we will have our opportunities for big plays no doubt.

Awesome game overall by the Packers. Did a great job shutting WAS down, and McCarthy seemed to find his groove with the running game, even after Lacy went down. I found that commendable. Starks was awesome.

Good performance by the Pack.

Kuhn pulled a hammy. Unknown severity.

Still not stretching I guess.

Zero2Cool (12h) : Hi 😊😉
TheKanataThrilla (18h) : I guess I should have did a refresh when I walked away from the computer.
TheKanataThrilla (18h) : Peters is 25 with one year left on his contract at just over $3M
Zero2Cool (19h) : Mel Kiper sticks with Marcus Davenport to GB in 2nd mock
Zero2Cool (21h) : As for Marcus Peters, how old is he an what's his contract years left?
Zero2Cool (21h) : Packers got tired of Sitton's antics.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Sitton was released not because of play or salary, but personality. He will not be re-signed.
TheKanataThrilla (21h) : If we are planning on possibly cutting Cobb I can see the 2nd round pick. A second round pick for Peters is a pretty good deal.
Smokey (22h) : I'd offer Cobb + a 3rd round pick + a 6th round pick in 2019 for the CB Peters from KC.
TheKanataThrilla (23h) : I guess that is a highter round pick
TheKanataThrilla (23h) : Suggestion was a 2nd round pick. I would want a lower round pick. I think that is too much. A 3rd or 4th seems about right.
Smokey (23h) : Cobb and WHAT PICK ?
TheKanataThrilla (21-Feb) : A suggestion I saw was a trade of Cobb and a Pick for Peters. I think that would be a great move.
Smokey (21-Feb) : Sitton was drafted be GB in 2008, not a young man at this point, but still is a "bear" of a man.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : Sitton? Maybe if the price is right.
Cheesey (21-Feb) : I doubt the Packers would try to resign Sutton. But who knows? If the price is right?
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Bears declining option on Josh Sitton. He'll be Free Agent.
Zero2Cool (20-Feb) : Chiefs CB Marcus Peters trade rumors -- come to Packers!
