The sideline spat between Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers was a refreshing, welcomed sight. After rolling right and throwing the ball away, an incensed Rodgers turned to his coach in disgust. The drive finally stalled and the two went at it.

I've never been much of a stat guy.
Knowing what a great QB Rodgers is I always felt that he was going to make good things happen in come back situations.
Deep down I knew that he wasn't getting it done, but i always had hope.
Now after being battered with his pathetic come from behind stats all week and reading this article I'll probably never have that hope again in crunch time.

Maybe he is too worried too much about his personal stats to take the necessary chances to pull the game out of the fire at the end.

This week has taken some of the luster off Aaron Rodgers for me.
I wish I had never read all this shit.

If Aaron Rodgers was more worried about his stats, he'd have thrown to the open guy to move the chains instead of trying to score big with a covered WR.

Rodgers is just a strong armed cocky game manager trying to be a gunslinger.

The one thing he should have learned from the true gunslinger is in the hurry up offense you want to move the chains and not try getting it all at once. I remember hearing him say that many times. That is one of the things I don't see in Rodgers and he is passing up short 1st down passes for the homerun ball as was stated in another thread.

This was also talked about on first take yesterday and Stephen A made a very good point, how many times did Rodgers lead the team down for the lead only to have the defense give it right back. In Rodgers 1st year I think it was, I remember atleast 3 games where we would get the lead late and the defense would choke it up.

IMO, on the play b/f the argument, I think ross was coming out of the backfield, and I thought he was not open, the db was right there and if the throw was made, and the db jumped the route, and picked the ball, there was no one to stop him from going 92 yards and scoring...

maybe rodgers should have played more in pre-season....

Aaron Rodgers hasn't been done any favors in late game heroics by his defense. Yes, that first season I believe I found five losses that the Packers regained the lead within 5 minutes left only to have the defense give up the winning points.

Scoring in 30 seconds with the long ball to retake the lead doesn't do a tired defense any favors either.
Clock management has never been a strong suit of McCarthy, and by default, Rodgers.

uffda udfa (1h) : Just rewatched Cobbs hail mary catch in slo mo...he should've been flagged for OPI. Got away with one.
uffda udfa (4h) : Nope. I like Gus.
beast (4h) : Did you want Anthony Lynn as HC? Cushion Bradley was going to follow Lynn where ever.
uffda udfa (5h) : Gus Bradley is new DC in SD/LA. I would've loved to had him here in Green Bay.
uffda udfa (9h) : It's just fine.
musccy (9h) : 5 questionable Packers, none for Falcons. Not good.
uffda udfa (9h) : Jordy not listed as OUT or DOUBTFUL. Questionable on injury report.
uffda udfa (11h) : This is the 6th straight game we've faced someone for the 2nd time. We learn.
uffda udfa (11h) : Aaron: I like our role. I like our chances. (said he relishes being an underdog)
uffda udfa (11h) : Aaron alludes to fake crowd noise at Georgia Dome for Sunday.
uffda udfa (11h) : So, to recap. Losing streak "just the way it is", winning streak "astronomical feat". #Balanced
uffda udfa (11h) : Ironically, he called the turn around "astronomical" not just the way it is in the NFL. #Don'tMissTheIrony
uffda udfa (12h) : Ted tells Demovsky the Packers weren't underachieving when 4-6. Just the way it is in the NFL????
Zero2Cool (15h) : Only time I recall getting annoyed is when they beat a single topic over and over and over.
Pack93z (16h) : Most yes... Heller seems to get it more so... diversity in his coverage... but seemingly can highlight the pressing issues properly.
Zero2Cool (16h) : I'm kind of in the boat that they all are babblying boonies.
Pack93z (16h) : God bless it... Bill Michaels can be a stubborn SOB at times... love his Packers coverage, still think he is a buffoon at times.
Zero2Cool (16h) : Jordy Nelson Named PFWA Comeback Player of the Year
Zero2Cool (18h) : Carter is predicitng the end is in ATL for Packers.
Porforis (18h) : Or I could just completely miss the part where that was Cris Carter.
Porforis (18h) : Careful there. Don't you want to predict a Packers loss just in case?
Zero2Cool (18h) : @criscarter80 :Every fairy tale comes to an end, and this is where the magic carpet ride stops in the ATL.
Zero2Cool (19h) : McCarthy: "JC Tretter actually had surgery Tuesday. He won't be available this week"
Zero2Cool (20h) : Crosby is fine now. Full Participant in practice Thursday
Porforis (20h) : What I'm more worried about at this point is WR injuries and Crosby being sick. Who'd be the backup if Crosby can't go?
Zero2Cool (20h) : We do have hope. Our secondary has improved. Also, he had to throw 80% to get 1 point up. That won't happen again.
Zero2Cool (20h) : I like to tease sometimes.
uffda udfa (21h) : Only 80%? :). We lost by one given that stat? Wish we had hope of tightening up.
uffda udfa (21h) : Z, u should tell everyone who Quintorris is. Quintorris Lopez Jones, better known as Julio.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Matt Ryan completed 80% of his passes against Packers in October.
uffda udfa (21h) : McGinn goes full on attack mode dismissing the notion of "Packers people". Harsh.
uffda udfa (21h) : McGinn says John Dorsey likely to be next Packers GM.
Zero2Cool (23h) : Boom! Davante Adams says last year's ankle injury "more difficult to deal with'
uffda udfa (20-Jan) : Packers brass potentially leaving? Not worthy of discussing. Pressure Cooker? Never enough talk about them.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Put Quintorris in a pressure cooker.
