The sideline spat between Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers was a refreshing, welcomed sight. After rolling right and throwing the ball away, an incensed Rodgers turned to his coach in disgust. The drive finally stalled and the two went at it.

I've never been much of a stat guy.
Knowing what a great QB Rodgers is I always felt that he was going to make good things happen in come back situations.
Deep down I knew that he wasn't getting it done, but i always had hope.
Now after being battered with his pathetic come from behind stats all week and reading this article I'll probably never have that hope again in crunch time.

Maybe he is too worried too much about his personal stats to take the necessary chances to pull the game out of the fire at the end.

This week has taken some of the luster off Aaron Rodgers for me.
I wish I had never read all this shit.

If Aaron Rodgers was more worried about his stats, he'd have thrown to the open guy to move the chains instead of trying to score big with a covered WR.

Rodgers is just a strong armed cocky game manager trying to be a gunslinger.

The one thing he should have learned from the true gunslinger is in the hurry up offense you want to move the chains and not try getting it all at once. I remember hearing him say that many times. That is one of the things I don't see in Rodgers and he is passing up short 1st down passes for the homerun ball as was stated in another thread.

This was also talked about on first take yesterday and Stephen A made a very good point, how many times did Rodgers lead the team down for the lead only to have the defense give it right back. In Rodgers 1st year I think it was, I remember atleast 3 games where we would get the lead late and the defense would choke it up.

IMO, on the play b/f the argument, I think ross was coming out of the backfield, and I thought he was not open, the db was right there and if the throw was made, and the db jumped the route, and picked the ball, there was no one to stop him from going 92 yards and scoring...

maybe rodgers should have played more in pre-season....

Aaron Rodgers hasn't been done any favors in late game heroics by his defense. Yes, that first season I believe I found five losses that the Packers regained the lead within 5 minutes left only to have the defense give up the winning points.

Scoring in 30 seconds with the long ball to retake the lead doesn't do a tired defense any favors either.
Clock management has never been a strong suit of McCarthy, and by default, Rodgers.

beast (36m) : Yeah it's weird, if anything goes wrong the defense and OL get blamed, even if passing game fault
hardrocker950 (2h) : But I put it mostlt on the offense and poor playcalling
hardrocker950 (2h) : I have seen the defense take a lot of flak over the loss..
Cheesey (3h) : Rodgers would have hit open guys. The game plan wouldn't have killed us. Less 3 and outs, and maybe some scores.
beast (4h) : Rodgers wouldn't of abandon attepting to get the ball to Nelson and Adams.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Rodgers with that game plan would have came up short too.
beast (5h) : Yeah the Packers defense got wore out... being on the field so long. Giving longer breathers than 3&out would of helped a lot IMO.
Cheesey (6h) : There wouldn't have been so many 3 and outs, thus keeping our D off the field.
Cheesey (6h) : True, but with the low score we would have had a chance with Rodgers behind center.
Zero2Cool (6h) : Brees is a damn good QB, not giving Capers a pass, not even close.
Zero2Cool (6h) : Saints kicked Packers ass with Rodgers too.
Cheesey (7h) : That's just it. Rodgers needs a DEFENSE as well. And without him, there is NO chance.
beast (8h) : Just fire everyone! Rodgers can do it without them! Hell trade for the healthy Browns players!
Cheesey (10h) : Capers needs to GO. So do players that can't cut it.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Capers presser summed up? INjuries are why we suck. (shut up, coach and adapt)
Zero2Cool (10h) : nearly crapped myself hearing dom capers talk, forgot to close the tab after mccarthy haha
Zero2Cool (10h) : McCarthy said the communication was not good enough on defense yesterday. Injuries in secondary have complicated substitution patterns.
Zero2Cool (11h) : McCarthy again says "I believe in him"... sorry, BS, we saw how you believe in him yesterday.
Zero2Cool (11h) : @The_Green_Gold Highest graded players Kenny Clark & Blake Martinez. It wouldn't be possible to grade an entire defense
Porforis (11h) : Well, it WAS clean until someone 'shouted' in it...
Zero2Cool (11h) : QB Brett Hundley when targeting a WR against Saints: 6-for-15, 54 yards.
Zero2Cool (11h) : clean?
