The Green Bay Packers have filled the open roster spot from the release of wide receiver/kick returner Jeremy Ross.

The team added running back Michael Hill, who is 5'10", 210 lbs. out of Missouri Western.

Green Bay also picked up 5'9", 178 lbs out of the University of Utah wide receiver Reggie Dunn for its practice squad.

What kind of speed does Hill have? Is he known to be a return guy?

I wish they would activate Dunn too. The guy ran back for kickoffs for TDs last year at Utah. If he comes with a brain and hands built in, he might be a serious upgrade from Ross.

Is this a sign that all 3 of our current RB's won't be back healthy this week? Or is this guy just going to be capable of returning shit to the house (or at least the 20 yard line).

edit: i guess starks isn't practicing. burp.

Micheal Rodney

Quote:
New practice squad WR Reggie Dunn, who returned 4 of 10 KOs for TDs at Utah, ran 4.26 at his pro day.

QUESTION: Can he field punts?

Man that's three rookie backs on one team which isn't even the first time that's happened under McCarthy's tenure.

Not arguing but who would you demote or cut to make room for Dunn. Just curious.

We are banged up all over, could we afford to lose the depth elsewhere for just a KR specialist. If he could do punts then maybe it would be worth it. I'm guessing he will get a lot of opportunities to do that in the next week or so. I suppose if we get Burnett back it could make one of our D-backs expendable but you have to remember anyone we move to the PS will become available for any other team to grab (Banjo or Hyde for example. Not that it would be them but they are just two I though of off the top of my head that are PS eligible because they are rookies.)

I don't think Dunn returned many punts in college. He also got a safety in preseason because he caught a punt inside the 5 then ran backwards.

Yikes! Uh, we can coach him out of catching it on the goal line and running backwards (I hope).

I'd be open at this point to parting with Jarrett Bush. If it was up to me, either Hawk or B. Jones would be gone - but it ain't up to me, and I know that ain't gonna happen. Neal or Wilson also would be possibilities. Also, somebody mentioned IR Starks with a designation to return.

CM3 seems to get hurt every year and misses games.

I guess we should just cut his ass and replace him with another unproven UDFA.

Because that ALWAYS makes the team better.

gbguy20 (1h) : dyspeptic
Nonstopdrivel (1h) : So aggravating and unsatisfying.
Nonstopdrivel (1h) : I have the same sort of dyspeptic feeling after this game that I often had after big games coached by Mike McCarthy.
beast (1h) : Also Chiefs got an INT, then the guy lined up too close...
gbguy20 (1h) : you're right about the chiefs Defense. get stops on first and second then fail on 3rd and long time and time again
gbguy20 (1h) : the guy is incredible
gbguy20 (1h) : it's been a long time since we have seen rodgers play as well as brady did these last few weeks
rabidgopher04 (2h) : They are good, but I just don’t like them.
rabidgopher04 (2h) : Chiefs looked a lot like the McCarthy Packers of old. Amazing offense and a defense that can’t get a 3rd down stop. Probably not watching the Super Bowl this year. So tired of the Patriots. They are g
gbguy20 (2h) : do we get brady too?
Zero2Cool (4h) : So, Packers get 30th overall and 12th overall? SUPER BOWL BABY
Zero2Cool (4h) : See, other teams run the play clock down too
Zero2Cool (4h) : See, other teams blow time outs too.
buckeyepackfan (6h) : Saints get screwed ! See it happens to other teams to.

beast (20-Jan) : Just a guess... but I think Burnett didn't like being a back-up... they drafted his replacement in the 1st round last year.
Smokey (20-Jan) : 80% of Pick'em Challenge players have posted. 2 still need to post their picks.
Zero2Cool (19-Jan) : Tom Clements passing game coordinator and QB coach...Cardinals.
Zero2Cool (19-Jan) : He didn't like being Dime LB ... bummer
Nonstopdrivel (19-Jan) : Morgan Burnett wants to be released from his deal because he feels he's being played out of position.
buckeyepackfan (19-Jan) : Packers hire Kirk Olivadotti as linebackers coach, per report
Zero2Cool (19-Jan) : Why
gbguy20 (19-Jan) : luke getsy left town without a contract after interviewing for the wr and qb coach positions
beast (19-Jan) : Now I'm wondering if Nonstopdrivel is attempting to internet stalk me :P
beast (19-Jan) : Kirk O was 'Skins ILB coach
Nonstopdrivel (19-Jan) : Never mind, on second thought, it's not the same person.
Nonstopdrivel (18-Jan) : Now I'm wondering if beast's Twitter handle starts with J.
KRK (18-Jan) : If so, he will definitely have input on Preston Smith
gbguy20 (18-Jan) : only place I see it is packersnews twitter. no articles on any site about it, even their own
gbguy20 (18-Jan) : i like that idea
beast (18-Jan) : Kirk Olivadotti? ... I wonder if we're going to have 1 or 2 LB coaches (ILB vs OLB)
gbguy20 (18-Jan) : new LB coach hired too! the lb coach from wash
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : So, it's like that hair stuff. If you've already lost it, too late!

Nonstopdrivel (18-Jan) : Check out terteeth.com. You're welcome.
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : Whitt: The 2014 season haunts me. We had a team good enough to win a Suer Bowl and we didn’t get it done. Coach McCarthy deserves two Super Bowl rings.
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : I read it again and I was like whoa that came off extra ass'ish. Just making sure bud :D
Nonstopdrivel (18-Jan) : Dood, you've known me for 11 years now. I would think you'd have caught on to my taking-people-painfully-literally style of humor. :-P
wpr (18-Jan) : mom is always right.
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : Rourke, I was only playing around, not being serious. In case there was a question about intent.
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : Mom told me cigs and coffee stunt your grow, thus. they are horrible! I'm sticking to that story!
Zero2Cool (18-Jan) : Rourke, it's my opinion, I don't like coffee fuck off with your serious train shit
Nonstopdrivel (18-Jan) : It's a mixed bag, beneficial for some things (staving off Alzheimer's), not sure helpful for others (blood pressure).
