I was going to start to compile a QB rating break down for Rodgers this season for the differential from the 1st three quarters of a game to the fourth to use in the next Rodgers fail thread about a 4th Q comeback.
Queried it prior to starting to see if there was a free site that had the breakdown already.. found one.
NBCSports1st Half Rating: 115.0
2nd Half Rating: 92.7
4th Qtr Rating: 72.2
So by that.. we can tell he is still strong so far this season.. and really falls off in the 4th.
I was shocked myself by the numbers.. they are still just numbers and not totally conclusive of his performance in the 4th Quarter.. but damn.. that was a fail so far this season in terms of using it to defend him in upcoming threads.
I would love to see the # of drops and game situations to couple with this stat..

Just the hard facts there. He gets worse. Is part of it playcalling?

By the way.. NBC Sports has a ton of other situational stats there... cool.. like Rodgers is being sacked 7.8 % (10 times in 132 drop backs) of the time he is dropping back... 20th best in the league..
Matt Stafford 1.9% for the lead. (3 times in 159 drop backs)

His completion percentage plummets to 56 % in the 4th Qtr.

Due to the number of games played in an NFL season, we usually don't have the luxury of a statistically significant sample size.
3 games into the year and the statistical analysis is even less meaningful.
For what it is worth, NFL.com also includes situational stats. Here is what Rodgers has done in each year he has started:
2012:
1st: 110.8
2nd: 106.7
3rd: 100.8
4th: 110.2
4th within 7: 119.8
2011:
1st: 127.3
2nd: 108.8
3rd: 132.0
4th: 108.5
4th within 7: 146.2
2010:
1st: 106.0
2nd: 102.2
3rd: 108.7
4th: 100.4
4th within 7: 96.2
2009:
1st: 98.0
2nd: 105.0
3rd: 104.5
4th: 113.1
4th within 7: 112.1
2008:
1st: 87.3
2nd: 110.7
3rd: 86.1
4th: 87.8
4th within 7: 89.4
...but proceed jumping to conclusions based on a three game sample size, including one in which he played arguably his worst football as a pro.

Whom is jumping to conclusions.. I even stated it the opening post, yet we get this type of response.. Maybe those comments need to be in bold for them to stand out.. lol.
Of course it is just 3 games into the season..
Of course it is non conclusive....
Thanks for the historical look and situational stats.. I just thought it interesting for the current season.
And to think... I started this looking to defend Rodgers moving forward this season with this group of receivers.. good thing I wasn't looking to slam him. DAMN.

It might have been more in regards to my overly simplified post. I'm at work so I tend to be lazy in my posts :)

I think stating a stat is meaningless because of the sample is a waste of the internets hard-drive. Who here is going to facilitate the next contract for Aaron Rodgers? You? You??? How about you? Yeah, I thought so.
The stats serve the purpose of something to discuss. Keep that in mind. Oh, and I love stats.
Aaron Rodgers SUCKS in the 4th quarter. He simply is not a game winner when the game is on the line. We have to accept it and move on. Just like we accept that Mason Crosby can't make a 50+ yarder twice in a row if his paycheck was riding on it.

Lol, Darkane was right, my post was more directed at his line about cold hard facts, not yours (which, as you state, had a disclaimer). Turns out the first three games this year are a cold hard outlier, Zero's trolling not withstanding.
Darkane posts lazily when at work, I post aggressively. We all respond to work differently I guess.

LOL... and I went off (purposefully with an intent) because you didn't direct whom your response was aimed at...
No worries..

Ha, and rightly so! I knew when I posted I'd get called on it. I was being (mostly facetiously) aggressive towards Darkane AND lazy.
Zero, I said you were trolling, not a troll. Someone can troll in a few posts and otherwise be a serious, intellectually stimulating or otherwise valuable poster.
Moreso tongue in cheek directed at your hyperbole over Rodgers sucking in the 4th quarter.
