Roger Goodell seems to be pushing hard to get more and more games overseas. Why?

The home team loses a home game, therefore 1/10 of their revenue they'd have otherwise earned. Does the "home" team get the proceeds earned from playing overseas?

What if a player doesn't have a passport?

The teams earn money from the gate overseas as well as home. The advantage to a team like J-ville is they earn more money in London than they do in FL. I doubt GB or Dallas would have the same benefit.

I think I read that the NFL corp picks up the travel expenses for both teams. I am not sure about lodging and meals. Makes sense that they would.

As for Passports. The teams know about the game long enough in advance that they can make sure players have their passports. That said it would not shock me if the almighty NFL had a way to expedite the process. A player picked up a couple of weeks before the game may have to stay home if he doesn't have one.

What about a player on probation? I'd assume the player would be given permission, much like they are able to 'work' outside their county.

It just does't make sense to me. If you can't fill your domestic seats with 10 games a season, exporting one is just going to hurt the domestic fan base. And for what?

Going to London to see the Queen was never my idea. I am only surmising what Lord Goodell is thinking. Personally I think NFL has about maxed out over there. (Apologies to the fans across the pond that follow the real game.)

It wouldn't surprise me if we see a Super Bowl played in London in the not too distant future.

That would surprise the hell out of me. That would be tantamount to moving the Macy's 4th of July fireworks spectacular to London.

wpr (33m) : Relax and enjoy talking Packers with others.
wpr (33m) : Seriously Smokey? DId you forget to take your meds?
Cheesey (5h) : "Wonderlic", it's how many licks you "wonder" it takes to get to the middle of a Tootsie Pop.
Zero2Cool (12h) : Stop putting words in other peoples mouth. Worry about YOU, no one else. Move on.
Smokey (13h) : Fine wpr, U2 has your's and the other's permission to piss on any member at any time. woof
Zero2Cool (13h) : But we can assume if someone doesn't know, they can ask, or perform an internet search. Move on.
Smokey (14h) : Potential NFL Draftees and Players are asked to take it to score how smart they are .
Smokey (14h) : Wonderlic is a cognitive ability test, usually administered to new employees.
Smokey (14h) : It should not just be assumed that everyone knows what,"Wonderlic" is .
Zero2Cool (14h) : Most players don't care about wonderlic. Some agents prep players. Not reasonable standard.
beast (15h) : We shouldn't judge. ..
uffda udfa (15h) : He has a rep for keen football intelligence. Some guys just don't come across as bright.
uffda udfa (15h) : What thing should we judge intelligence on? Wonderlic is out to you. How he sounds is out.. what is criteria?
uffda udfa (15h) : Are you taking issue with him not being particularly bright? Based on what?
beast (15h) : It's sad your judging a person brightness on such shallow things...
shield4life (24-Jan) : Resign Nick Perry
uffda udfa (23-Jan) : Need some strong sharp passionate voices on D. Daniels gives great quotes.
uffda udfa (23-Jan) : Nick Perry seems to be the team leader as he was giving pregame speeches that seemed very uninspiring.
uffda udfa (23-Jan) : Morgan and his 14 wonderlic. Ever hear him talk? Man, not a bright guy at all.
uffda udfa (23-Jan) : Burnett needs to be replaced. That's our leader? Or one of them? No, thanks.
beast (23-Jan) : For the secondary, I think Burnett/Haha are the leaders.
Smokey (23-Jan) : GB needs a new motto : DEFENSE RULES ! , is intended to change the direction of the Packers focus moving forward .
Smokey (23-Jan) : Thank You Zero.
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Great reading a thread and seeing "defense rules" spammed in them all. Great reading material.
Smokey (23-Jan) : DEFENSE RULES !
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Think you need to defensive leaders. Front Seven and Secondary. We seem to lack both. Daniels is closest.
beast (23-Jan) : Packers players had a right to complain when they were being bullied by Mike Daniels... just talking about Packers ;-) jk
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : It was the 26th largest margin since 1940. Feels much worse
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : thought it was biggest margin of victory in Conf Championship, I was mistaken.
Smokey (23-Jan) : Wow ! The Packers got disrespected too !
Smokey (23-Jan) : Hello ?
uffda udfa (23-Jan) : Can't. MM burned them all.
Smokey (23-Jan) : go pack go ?
wpr (23-Jan) : Smokey AND Uffda, you both ca be placed in a timeout. Stop it.
Smokey (23-Jan) : go pack go :)
