Imagine what Lacy's numbers would be if he had a line who could keep the defense out of the backfield.

This is something I felt was lost in Al and Chris' constant gushing.

Downfield blocking was a bit poor but that's why the one - two punch will be more important as the season wears on. We have to see Starks continue to be effective because Lacy needs to be available for the post season to put games away in the end if need be. Quarless did some good things and there were a couple run plays executed real well by the line itself. We ran a lot of plays in this game. Their defense was out of it by the third quarter. When they replaced them with some fresh subs in the fourth the Vikings defense started played better.

I will say this about the vikings defense. They do seem to hit hard. There were several plays where Lacy looked like a pinball out there. Of course a lot of that is his ability to stay on his feet after getting hit.
