Report: Packers Could Shut Down Rodgers For the Season

NFL Network reports there's not only a good chance Aaron Rodgers doesn't play this week, there's a chance he's done for the year.

Rodgers had a very simple answer on his radio show two weeks ago when asked if he'd just not play if #Packers were out of playoffs: "No."

I can understand the logic behind this decision. Without Aaron Rodgers 100% healthy for the next several years, the Packers aren't going anywhere. Don't bring him back into the lineup until he's 100% healthy. There's absolutely no reason to rush. It's just not worth it in the bigger scheme of things.

Writers really stretching with the Rodgers story which I can understand, but there are plenty of other stories to get into. We will know more next week.

to go: 31, if he plays 1 more full season at a high level he should get it. Remarkable.

Yards:
Favre: 71,838
Manning: 63,612
to go: 8,226, he could do this with 2 more seasons, but might need 3

He won't get close to the attempts/completions records either, which makes it even more impressive (better average, and better TD:attempt ratio).
