Josh Alper said: Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers went to see the doctor on Tuesday, but there's not much of an update about his condition. As you'd imagine, the first question that coach Mike McCarthy faced at his press conference had to do with the results of that examination. The answer left things as pretty much status quo at...

I'm sure they are going to keep him off, highly doubt they would risk him against a Falcons team. Don't get me wrong, I don't think they are going to throw the game. They probably are going for the win and if they do great expect Rodgers to be back the next game fresh but if no win comes out ... expect him probably to sit threw out the year.
He didn't even practice & with our o-line playing as bad as they've ever have played I wouldn't be comfortable having Rodgers taking hits or anything.

Agreed. I am not sure the coaches plan but I know he would need at least one day of practice that was full participation after being cleared in order to play this week. I assume Friday is the last day of practice to have that opportunity?

JSOAaron Rodgers says scan result wasn't 'the greatest news'Quote:Specialists have said that it is often difficult to determine from X-rays whether the bone is completely healed, but that there are some signs, including whether there is any pain in the spot where the collarbone was cracked. In a lot of cases, they said, they have to rely on the time-tested guideline that a bone usually needs four or more weeks to heal.
Rodgers said that until the medical staff is convinced he isn't in danger of suffering the same - or worse - injury due to instability of the bone, he won't be cleared. He is being allowed to practice this week, but Matt Flynn will be groomed to be the starter and Rodgers would have to make tremendous advancements in strength and range of motion.
Even then, McKenzie has to be comfortable the collarbone is healthy.

Interesting thing to note is that sometimes broken bones help the bone to become stronger - I broke my left leg when I was a kid and always sort of had 'weak knees' - now (as in since it was broken) my left leg (knee) is the strong knee -
but again I was a kid 12ish and wasnt playing football (basketball).

Okay so we have technically three days after today for medical clearance then ultimately it would be a game time decision if that scenario holds until Saturday and he is cleared then. I heard about EDS rolling his ankle today. That sucks. We will see how he responds tomorrow. The health of the line will also play a factor I have no doubt.
