After doing a little checking, The Packers are not the only teams with guys starting training camp on the PUP list.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/injuries/pup

Bengals, 49r's, Falcons, and Patriots all have 5 guys listed, this is not a completed list as, in The Packers case, they had yet to officially send their report in.

I know for a fact The Bengals have a minimum of 10 players, for one reason or another, who are not able to make the 1st day of practice.

So even though it's not a good thing to have these guys starting on the PUP, seems it is pretty normal.

My intent when originally posting this article was not to create panic, I was just glad to finally see some current news from TC.

I wonder which of them has a hamstring injury. 🤔

Agreed. I also hope CM3s hang nail doesn't hold him out of anything else.

Yeah Clay was actually a guy I was expected to start on PUP and to my surprise he wasn't. That was a nasty fracture.

Most NFL injuries are very legit. It doesn't change the fact that they can't help their team win if they are injured and on the bench. The Packers don't seem to have any dependable and available outside linebackers really. Perhaps Julius Peppers?

It is too bad Perry has been far less reliable than Clay...USC hasn't done us many favors in the way of health. It seems like a lot of those guys are very injury prone at the NFL level. Cushing, Maualuga, Mays, Bush, Tyron Smith, etc, etc. Those USC guys are soft. I wonder if they're given certain things at USC that make their bodies less able to stand up over the long haul.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

At least guys like Hawk, Raji, Williams, and Shields stay relatively healthy.

I wouldn't put shields in the group of players that stays healthy lol. I think he's missed almost as much time as Clay the last couple years and it seems his specialty is getting knocked out of big playoff games.

I remember several years ago when Fred Taylor got the nickname "Fragile Fred" after missing 6, 3, 14 games in his 2nd, 3rd, 4th NFL seasons. Everyone was saying how he can't stay healthy. He went on to start every game his next two seasons. My point is that injury streaks can come to an end. Like investments, past performance is no guarantee of future results.

I understand the apprehension behind Matthews and his injuries but I don't get the resignation to them. Is it simply a feeling of "If I expect him to miss 4 or 5 games I won't be disappointed when he does"

beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.
beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?

Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
wpr (2-Apr) : It has Martha. I was stunned when I was in HS to learn Iowa was still playing half court BB in the 70's.
Martha Careful (2-Apr) : Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese...women's sports has come a long way. GREAT TO SEE!!
Martha Careful (31-Mar) : Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have a great day.
