The Packers are consistent with their lack of discipline. It doesn't stop with the players, it trickles into the coaching staff too. [palm]

A roundup of what's happening on the Green Bay Packers beat.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Rob Davis says it wasn't on him. Those who were closest to Edgar Bennett on the Packers' sideline say it wasn't on him either.

Days after the Packers' bench was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct during Sunday's game against the New York Jets, coach Mike McCarthy remains unclear who the call was on.

It was clear that most on the home sideline were upset that line judge Byron Boston didn't call a late hit on the Jets after defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson appeared to tackle receiver Jordy Nelson out of bounds on a second-quarter play.

I read what your saying , but what are you saying ? You want the staff in military uniforms marching together in locked step ? Please expand your argument and enlighten us all . [cheers]

If anything it is lack of accountability OR they all agreed it's none of our business and have dealt with it in-house.

It may also be that no one knows what the "magic words" were that drew the flag. With everyone yelling at the same time, maybe it was that the whole bench was "picking on him" and not one specific person or one specific sentence.

I don't have a problem with the penalty.

There was a blatant late hit on Nelson that was not called, everyone saw it, except the ref.

I read all the time The Packers, coaches and players, are soft, they show no emotions.

I have to agree with wpr, there was probably more than one person who could have drawn the flag, it was a blown call and sometimes you just have to call out the ref.

The penalty could have killed a drive, in the end, it didn't.

Getting a little fired up over protecting one of your own players isn't always a bad thing.

If I'm Rob Davis, and given his job, ESPECIALLY him, I'd be like WELL YOU KNOW I MADE A MISTAKE, I APOLOGIZE TO THE GUYS, I DON'T WANNA HURT THE TEAM. Whatever.

OR, he could say, I'LL TAKE THAT PENALTY, BECAUSE WE NEEDED TO DRAW ATTENTION TO THE MISSED CALL THERE. Right? One could even argue that that missed call helped us later on the supposedly controversial "timeout" play.

But Rob Davis doesn't say that. In fact, no one is.

LESSON TO THE PLAYERS: There is no accountability. But they probably already knew that.

At least we didn't have any undisciplined assistant usurp the role of the head coach and call a time out that costs the team a touchdown.

I suspect it is probably well known to the players and the staff who drew the penalty - but nobody sees fit to air the dirty laundry to the media.

dfosterf (2h) : Put him at right guard. That is where he will be coached. That is where he will compete. He is not even allowed to look at the LT playbook.
