Does anyone know a DC that doesn't allow his players to get hurt? Let's hire that coach.

Dom is responsible for Worthy blowing out his knee? Dom is responsible for Raji's injury? Dom is why Datone can't stay on the field?

This is the NFL and players get hurt. But think where we might be if those injuries hadn't occurred. Worthy had a decent rookie season before blowing that knee late. Raji has been decent holding the point. Datone was a #1 pick for a reason. Instead, we are left with essentially backups. Of the 6 DL on the 53 roster, there are 2 rookie UDFA. I'm all for diamonds in the rough, but that's asking for it.

I still believe in Capers. But he could use some luck keeping players healthy.

We keep trotting out the same weak ass shit every year. The 3-4 is not going to work in GB, we don't have the personnel.

Problem is, Dom doesn't care about run D. He cares about "opposing QB rating." Then again, maybe that's Mike's influence, having "become more involved" on that side of the ball.

The Packers want their shitty run D to bait other teams into running against them, because "the way to win in today's NFL is passing." We'll see how that works out.

Bullshit article.

Wasn't the Defense who couldn't score in the redzone.

Wasn't The defense who gave up the ball twice.

I'm not blaming the offense either, just wasn't The Packers night.

It wasn't the offense making a mediocre Mark Ingram look like an all-pro.

At least the offense did some good things, the defense may as well have not left Green Bay.

How many yards did Mediocre Mark Ingram get just 4 days later against Carolina?

That game turned on Rodgers tweeking his hammy and the 2 tipped passes that resulted in turnovers.

It's over now, time to move on, if anyone was going to get fired or if there was anyone going to get cut or replaced that would have happened last Monday or Tuesday.

I said before, I'm not blaming anyone, The Saints were at home, took advantage of turnovers and won the game.

Shit Happens

Season is only half over, but if it ended tomorrow, look who would be in the playoffs.

Like 2010, get in and anything can happen.

Kind of like how super models are among the prettiest people. If they weren't pretty, they wouldn't be super models.

Manning shredded the Patriots top ranked pass D yesterday for more than 400 yards. And was still blown out. Do you think NE fans are whining about their Pass D? No, because they won. Winning cures all.

Capers career here so far is nothing but a laundry list of excuses. Maybe he's not as bad of a coordinator as he looks here at times but the fact is that Capers + GB just isn't really working and it's time to move on. Yes this team has weaknesses at certain spots in the defense but all teams have weaknesses and I really don't believe that Capers has no say in what kind and which players we acquire. He's had plenty of time to help build the defense he wants and it's absolutely ridiculous to have the miscommunication and substitution problems that we have after 6 years. There are teams with less talent than us on defense that have been able to limit or even flat out embarrass offenses like NO and SF and Seattle. I think we definitely need improvements with certain personnel but I also don't think we are getting nearly as much out of the talent we have on that side of the ball as we should be. If all you can say about your coordinator is excuses why he hasn't been better then he's probably not good enough.

I'm not just trying to hate on Dom I just think some fresh blood/ideas on that side of the ball is what's best for the team. No one can say Capers wasn't given enough chances to get it right but for whatever reason his scheme isn't getting it done.

But yes, elite quarterbacks shred most defenses. Especially average or worse ones. But even decent defenses can put up a pretty good fight. That's something Caper's units have often failed to do, imo. Elite quarterbacks certainly don't abuse all defenses.

Make no mistake, it's not Caper's fault alone. He could do more with better talent. But so could every defensive coordinator. I think there is some coach out there that could do more with what the Packers have and have had over the past few years. I think there are other coaches doing so every season. It's fine if others don't think so, that's just my perspective. I think the Packers defense mimics Dom's personality. Flat, not very aggressive or passionate, and soft. Not the type of defense I want. But I've been saying these things for 2-3 seasons now. Dom is decent, but the Packers should be doing everything they can to improve upon decent.
