Not a big issue, he will figure it out. You don't have 230 catches in two seasons in college with bad hands. The fact that he is getting open is the more important thing.

When was the last time a Rookie WR was our #3 guy? He is being asked a lot of because Boykin has regressed and our TEs are below average as receivers.

he's a rookie. He will be fine. He is just good enough that the other team has to account for him. He is better than most #3 CBs.

There is the seemingly forgotten option of Janis. Adams is gonna be like Boykin was this year: having to compete with younger players for a spot and playing time. Yeah, he's better than Boykin, but will he be better than Janis or Abbrederis? Or will the seniority oriented Packers give him the benefit of the doubt anyway? For this year, he's the best option. Drops aren't necessarily chronic. I'm still thinking generally positive about him as a possession receiver, but I think he has a fairly low ceiling.

I am really starting to get tired of the drops By Adams.

Remember now...

~ Jordy Nelson went through a streak of a lot of drops (and dropped a number of passes in the Super Bowl, some have said he might of been Super Bowl MVP broke some Super Bowl receiving records if it wasn't for all his drops).

~ James Jones went through a long streak of drops where fans really got after him, and some didn't forgive him until he had the year leading the NFL in TDs.

~ Finley went trough an off and on streak of drops for a long while there.

~ Cobb had a short streak of drops.

I wonder: I don't know if this has to do with anything, but when some announcers where talking about Rodgers and Rodgers picking which balls he's going to use before a game, they said Rodgers was different than most QBs. Saying most QBs like to take some air out of the ball to let it have a better grip/squeeze. Rodgers likes to fill them up with air and even go a bit over the limit of how much air to allow to put into them.

I wonder if that makes it hard for WRs to catch it. Packers have drafted a number of WRs where when you look at their college careers, they caught everything that came near them. Jones and Adams come to mind most... and then in the NFL they suddenly start to struggle to catch it? I think it's part of Rodgers throwing it hard than their college QB, but I also wonder if it might be because the ball is packed with air and so has less cushion when they try to catch it like the normally had.

Just wondering, couldn't be completely wrong about that.

He must really be showing some skill during practice because the drops during gameday have been a killer the past few weeks. The margin for error is getting smaller as the Pack enter the post-season. There is no room for these mistakes anymore.

Outside of personnel, the Packers training team should be bending over backwards as far as Rodgers' demands, so I don't think his football preference matters.

Is Adams becoming a liability? I don't think so. Has he sort of regressed? After the New England game... definitely. But remember, James Jones (drafted for his hands) and Jordy Nelson (drafted for his size and route running) both had the same issues earlier in their careers. Our expectations are just starting to become unrealistic.

The loss of Finley hurts more than people think, but then again, he had the dropsies too.

First let me say that I am happy with the win today. Great job by the D, rushing attack and in the air. But . . .

heck charles johnson looks much better then him.

Rodgers throws the ball ridiculously fast but if you notice a WR on this team rarely catches the ball over the middle and doesn't have time to react (get down, juke, etc...) before a defender lights them up. That's because Rodgers gets the ball into the WRs hands before the defenders have a chance to react fast enough to break up the ball. It likely leads to some drops but it's worth it for all the extra completions, YAC, and safety that are gained because it's thrown so hard.

Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Fining them is the goal, per the people who made the rule anyway.
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still waiting on the kickoff rule changes. Did hear yesterday that the touchback proposal will now be the 30 yard line, not the 35
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Probably speed of game issues with your proposal
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Hopefully the refs don't get in the habit of throwing flags on this
beast (25-Mar) : I think when it comes to Challenges should get two strikes, so unlimited challenges as long as they keep winning them, but 2 wrong then done
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still subject to the fines etc
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Yes, I should have been more specific. Also, they are now saying it would be a 15 yard penalty. That makes more sense .
