Phoenix - Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews said he doesn't care what others say about why he missed the final three defensive series in the fourth quarter of the NFC Championship game.

This makes no sense when he is playing in OT. There were cam shots of him on the sideline and he did not look like a suffering guy like Sherman was when he was gutting it out. I love CMIII but to me it just adds another frustration as to how we gave the game away.

This is just another reason why CM3 isn't worth his contract. Once again CM3 is hurt imagine that. I say we trade him and use the money to get a player that will be on the field.

CM3 is our version of Jay Cutler lol
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

J.J. Watt is spending his off season at a secluded cabin in northern Wisconsin dedicating himself to getting bigger, faster and stronger.
No distractions.
I wonder what Clay Matthews is doing to prepare himself for next year

Really is time to clean house!

Thompson, McCarthy, A. Rodgers, CMIII, ALL NEED TO GO!

The packers are never going to win anything with them around!

FUCK YOU MARK MURPHY!

Seeing that he was able to play OT, either the injury wasn't bad enough to keep him from playing, or he played OT and shouldn't have.

If he says he had rib and knee injuries that sidelined him, I'm not arrogant enough to say he's wrong.

The same fans whining about him taking himself out are the same ones that would whine if he couldn't make a play due to the injuries and would be saying he's selfish and should have sat out a few plays if need be.

I really don't understand how some of you can be so negative so consistently. Find some happiness for crying out loud.

It goes along with what musccy said in the Carroll call thread. If the play works no one complains if it doesn't it was a stupid call.

In the NFCC game Seahawks fans were lauding Sherman for being out there with one arm. If the Packers would have thrown a pass his way and he would have missed a tackle because of the injury they would have been railing on him for being out there.

Bottom line? If it goes well fans are happy if it doesn't we are not. Its the way it goes.

The decision to keep him out, be it his or the coaching staff, during the 4th quarter drives may have been because they though they had it won (a mistake I know but it may have been what they were thinking) once OT rolled around it was a do or die situation so they decided to risk it.

You hear it all the time with injured players "he could have played if the game meant something" Not that those last two drives didn't mean something but perhaps they just didn't think they would be so difficult.
