don't forget about Jarred Allen and Adrian Peterson

Allen because of what a redneck jerk he is, and Peterson because he's so good and such a nice guy and general all-around outstanding human being... and he is a Viking.

The Cows
The Mannings
The Steelers
The AFC
Jerry Jones
Wrecks Grossman
Lovie Smith

The last 2 because they lost me money.

The Cows top my hate list though. I hate the team. I hate their fans. I hate their girlfriends. I hate their wives. I hate their kids. I hate their parents. I hate their grandparents. I hate their dogs. I hate their cats. I hate their stadium. I hate any road within ten miles of Dallas.

Every time you post this I first think of the band and I'm a little sad that you'd hate them. Then I remember that you're referring to the Cowboys and I'm right there with you.

Someone here brought this point up to me in a PM, and i think it has some VERY valid points.
This is what he said:
"I think the reason many Green Bay Packer Fans dislike him is because of the fact he has an image and PERSONALITY that is way to corporate for Green Bay Fans who are more "BLUE COLLAR" anti corporate.

T.T. comes across as a CEO from Enron when he speaks. He is a terrible speaker, and has a corporate big wig Aura, which does not sit well with many (Blue Collar Packer Fans). Even though that corporate mind is what this organization needs to keep things fiscally responsible."

I think this post hits it right on the head. I think Ted is not "smiley" and "Mr. Personality" enough for some of the fans. This warps their idea of how he's actually doing on the job. To me, he looks "sneaky".
But that doesn't bother me. I'd rather have a guy that doesn't make good speaches, or doesn't "smile" enough that does a good job then someone that everyone loves, that stinks on the job.

I don't care if Ted Thompson comes out looking like a CEO or if he comes out with snot running out of his nose.

The guy works CLOSE with his coaches and finds the players.

The bottom line with Ted Thompson haters is you'v got one kind or the other.

One doesn't like him because he came in to replace Mike Sherman who for some absolutely mind boggling reason there are people that though he was actually a good GM.

The second Ted Thompson hater feels it's entirely his fault a QB that played here a long time couldn't make up his mind but felt he didn't have to because he walked on water ended up leaving.

I blame it on the ice fishing. It confuses people.

If (and by If I mean when) Thompson wins a Superbowl, all these touchy-feely arguments are moot.

That's the thing.

Right now, I'm not too high on our management. I think Ted Thompson got an A in '07, doing just about everything right. However, I graded him an F in '08, doing just about everything wrong. I'm not even including the Favre saga. I'm talking about the way he handled Grant, thinking Mr. New & Exotic Injury can replace Corey Williams, failing to close the deal on FAs, etc.

This offseason has started off well with Dom Capers. Good hire, and I'm excited to see the changes our D will see next year. I"ve been wanting us to go 3-4 for awhile now, so I'm looking forward to this change.

Results are what matters. If we're a perennial Playoff team and the hate continues, it's irrational. As is the love fest when we're 6-10 after four years of rebuilding.
