We may give up a bigger percentage of 2 point conversions than we make.

It seems to me that this may turn out to be a little bit disadvantageous for the Packers. Scheming to make up for personnel deficiencies and a "bend don't break" defense spells trouble in short yardage situations, and when we have the ball, our O Line doesn't seem to be able to out-muscle anybody - trouble in the red zone and 2 point conversions.

Bend but don't break is a mentality that is PERFECT for two point conversion stops because the bending is between the twenties and you don't break in the red zone. I am stoked! Screw the league!

Randall Cobb in the backfield will give EVERY defense a nightmare for weeks, no, MONTHS! And on defense, no one is gonna get by B.J. Raji.

The strategy of the game may change completely if this gets used anywhere near as much as it has this preseason.

I don't like Cobb in the backfield. I like Lacy ramming it in for 2 yards, but too often, the O Line lets the D get to him before he can get started. I like the idea of our regular offense getting two - Rodgers finding an open receiver, BUT he's gonna be running for his life like always, and last game at least, things didn't go very well. I like a wildcat with Hundley, but it seems like the Packers don't go in for that sort of thing.

And OBVIOUSLY, I don't like the thought of Raji trying to stop anything. When has there ever been a running play that he didn't get pushed back at least 2 yards? I hate being pessimistic, but I remember too many times in short yardage that teams just lined up and brutalized our D Line.

I think Tex is onto something not on something.

My guess is we will give up more conversions than we make. Can't wait to see a running total of that.

Rodgers didn't like it at all. I'm sure that is largely because he knows they suck down there and Mason can be very questionable at times especially in the conditions he's going to have to kick in late in the season.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Read on pft that through Saturday night 39 of 40 PATs were made this weekend, so very close to the previous average.

As far as the 2pt, if Hundley is on the team in the backfield, I'm happy with it.

Every time we try a two point attempt the play is so funny I can't stop laughing.
We struggle in the red zone, we could have made 60pts per game last season with a decent red zone playbook.
So this is definitively not our cup of tea, it just moves the XP behind our 2pt plays still suck.

beast (21-Apr) : I haven't looked into the QBs, but some have suggested Maye has some of the most extremely inconsistent tape they've seen
beast (21-Apr) : Well it also sounds like Patriots are listening to trade offers, not that seriously considering any, but listening means they aren't locked
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Maye needs to be AFC
Mucky Tundra (21-Apr) : Not liking the idea of the Vikings getting Maye
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Vikings HC joked that he may or may not have sent flowers to Bob Kraft. That's where rumor came from.
beast (21-Apr) : Can't tell if this is real or BS, but some rumors about a possible Patriots/Vikings trade for #3 overall
dfosterf (21-Apr) : One playbook to my knowledge. I was shooting for facetious.
beast (20-Apr) : I'm not sure they have different playbooks for different OL positions, and Dillard run blocking is supposedly worse than his pass blocking..
dfosterf (19-Apr) : The only problem with that is he isn't a guard either.
