His name is so ordinary. I remember thinking that about Aaron. Who is Aaron Rodgers anyway? He can never be any good with a name like Aaron Rodgers. That's what I remember saying... I don't know who I was back then... I've achieved perspective. Thanks Vic

Don't care who signed him...there are some things that stand out that you don't see on other reels. Yes, point taken, but did you watch it? He looks like Jordy on some of his catches. Contorts his body effortlessly while keeping balance. I think this kid has a shot. A good one...not to make the roster, but to be on PS. He came via a tryout. He had to be impressive.

Also, and I wasn't clear on this, my comment about anyone else signing him was not really aimed at you. Judging from your posts you are certainly not a homer. It was aimed at so many other Packer fans who seem to think every young guy the Packers sign has pro bowl potential written all over him and every young guy that other teams sign are nothing more than camp fodder.

These are the same fans who think our players would garner first and second round offers from other teams in trade but their similar players are worth late round picks at best. Or the fans who believe other GMs are just sitting there waiting for Ted to make his cuts so they can sweep in an pick up our released players. The funny thing is that once the do these players suddenly become scrubs. While they were on the Packers roster however they were better than half the starters in the league.

Wasn't sure if it was for me, or not, but I'm pretty sensitive. 😁

My thinking is this guy would've had a real shot to be on our 53 over White, Pinkard and possibly Abby had he started with us early now that we need a guy to play outside. His dimensions are right, his speed is similar to Jordy's, at least the timer thinks so. He is pretty strong with 22 reps on the bench...Abby did freaking 4. He really looks to have excellent body control and that is something you don't see in other reels. He does some subtle things that you notice from watching Jordy. Only surmising, but gotta believe the Packers brass thought the same things when they saw him live that he had some similarity to Jordy. Not saying he is or will be him, only that he has some of the subtle little tools Jordy had in his bag. I really do like the kid...now, watch, he'll be cut after Saturday. 😲

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

I almost sent him a PM saying he may want to reconsider but figured it might be good for a chortle or two.

As much as we disagree on many things I admit it is nice to see an opinion based on something other than "He is a Packer so he must be good" or "Ted and Mike like him so he will be OK" We have our differences but that's what makes these things interesting.

dfosterf (10h) : Put him at right guard. That is where he will be coached. That is where he will compete. He is not even allowed to look at the LT playbook.
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Kidding aside, I hope the best for him.
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Went to a Titans board. One comment there. Not very long. I quote: "LOL" They don't sound overly upset about our aquisition.
beast (18-Apr) : OT Dillard has been absolutely horrible... like OG Newman levels
dfosterf (18-Apr) : Suit him up and have him stand in front of the big board as a draft day cautionary tale.
Zero2Cool (18-Apr) : Packers sign T Andre Dillard.
Mucky Tundra (18-Apr) : Adds most of the information this time of year comes from agents.

Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : Saints have agreed to terms on a contract with former Packers wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown.

Mucky Tundra (12-Apr) : Draft is still 2 weeks away. UGH
dhazer (11-Apr) : Does anyone know of a good AI generator to create letters of Support for legislation?
Zero2Cool (11-Apr) : Gordon "Red" Batty retires as equipment manager

Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Falcons have signed former Packers CB Kevin King, who has been out of football since 2021.
dfosterf (8-Apr) : Collectively, we need to spend more time in what we have, when analyzing ostendible needs and historical proclivities
dfosterf (8-Apr) : I say he is better than so many of these draft picks
dfosterf (8-Apr) : Question of the week for me: Has anyone besides me done any deep dive into the potential of Alex McGough, our 3rd string qb?

beast (5-Apr) : Probably not going to let Diggs walk away unless he's horrible... but according to reports he also might not be as good as he used to be.

Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
