Thursday Night: Adams, Janis, Montgomery, Abbrederis, White, and Pinkard

Prediction: the first five make the 53 along with Cobb of course, and Pinkard to the practice squad.

I really loved the pick and have been a big fan coming from the Badgers and all.
But I have given up on the kid.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong!

Abbrederis showed no hint of hesitation in practice. He even laid out for another deep pass earlier in practice and came up empty.

What happens this week will determine if there’s enough time for Abbrederis to make an impression after missing all but two practices and only finishing one. If he plays against the Saints, it will be the first game he has participated in since the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1, 2014.

Finally get to see what he can do.

The Packers would’ve been in a tight spot if Abbrederis hadn't been cleared this week, with this weekend's cut-downs looming. If waived injured, the Packers would not be allowed to re-sign Abbrederis to the active roster or practice squad until six weeks after his injury settlement runs out.

Instead, they get a chance to see if he can carry over what he did at Wisconsin, where he ranked second all-time in receiving yards (3,140) and touchdown receptions (23). There’s opportunity in the receivers room after Jordy Nelson was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

The Rock Report: Abbrederis Back, Cobb Encouraged

He's a guy who knows the play book. He's been here. Be nice to get him some reps though.

Cobb thinks he'll be back, so he says. "It's alot better than we thought at the beginning." Really? How bad did they think it was at the beginning?

With the early suspensions in D-line and 2 FB's, I don't see The Packers keeping 6 wr's in the beginning.

With Abbys injury history , 99% chance he would clear waivers.
Sign him to PS abd let him keep developing

Good chance he will be needed at some point.

As much as I'm rooting for Abbs (as a lot of Badger fans are), he's going to have to be lights out on Thursday for the Packers to keep a roster spot open for him. I do think the most likely scenario is the Packers go with the current 5 guys most people are predicting and then they'll try to bring him back on the practice squad. As mentioned above, his chances of clearing waivers are decent given his injury history and the chances he'd get called up to the active 53 man roster are decent once the year starter.

beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC
Mucky Tundra (5-Apr) : Odd, why give up a 2025 2nd Rounder for him if you're just gonna let him walk?

Zero2Cool (4-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft hasn't been made by it's original holder since 2016.
Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
beast (3-Apr) : Using Patterson as RB and RB/WR tweener... so I think they also signed Patterson as a 3rd down RB, not just a kick returner as articles are
beast (3-Apr) : I think PFT missed the real Steelers/Patterson connection, Steelers new OC Arthur Smith has been Patterson's head coach the last 3 years
wpr (2-Apr) : It has Martha. I was stunned when I was in HS to learn Iowa was still playing half court BB in the 70's.
Martha Careful (2-Apr) : Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese...women's sports has come a long way. GREAT TO SEE!!
