+1 for this point specifically. God forbid you actually point it out, but it's pretty amusing how we fans seem to think we know more about football than the people who've dedicated their lives to it and who actually collect paychecks for it.

Quick example, which is really sad. A woman my wife used to work with felt lumps in her breasts. The doctor checked them out and said they were nothing. For a second time a few months, she went back and asked them to check them again. Turns out they were cancerous and she lost both breasts. Well, after losing both of them, the cancer had spread. Now she's dead.
But no, she was just a stupid person who didn't get paid to do that so of course she didn't know what she was talking about. The doctor is always right, because he not only gets paid to do it, he spent 8 years prior to getting paid studying. I doubt anyone on any team's management staff spent 8 years in college studying football before getting an NFL job.
So, the layman is always wrong. We're just all stupid people who don't get paid to do this. The people who get paid are always right. Always.
