Collins is the least of my concerns in zone coverage. The guy is only 25 and he showed vast improvement last season. I expect good things in the coming years. He's starting to "get it".

Harris, on the other hand, scares me to death in zone. I don't even know if I want him on the field when we utilize zone coverage schemes. Just put Woodson and Williams out there.

that's not viable either. hard to disguise your coverages if harris is on field every time they press, and off every time they play zones.

Yeah I realize that. But at the same time that kind of time crunch - forcing the offense to react to your personnel going onto the field - can really allow you to screw with them, because they're already reacting to you.

If you read what Capers says then man press will be used when the situation calls for it. He has said he will align the schemes to the players and we happen to have players very good at man coverage.

I believe this will add to what Capers can incorporate in various packages. In other situations on other teams he may or may not have used man in a manner he can here because the corners couldn't play it.

I can see us pressuring the FIRE out of the QB with blitz packages on 3rd and long with our three solid man cover corners taking on any three WR's.

Al CANT play zone. Anytime he even just plays with a cushion on his WR he looks awful. His whole foundation of skills comes from working in Press/man to man coverage. I would like to stick to this. I don't want to see Zone Coverage.

Harris' career lives and dies by press man to man coverage.....

Also Collins makes too many mental mistakes in years past. Those can be fixxed and the Packers did get the Safties coach that has been credited with helping the Steelers Safties at going to the next levels.

Bigby once in a while gets caught watching the QB as the WR gets close and then he doesn't start going back until the WR is too close and just goes past.

Rouse just doesn't take good angles or wrap up. But he's one heck of a ball hawk. But I think zone would really help him.

But I think everyone else could be better in zone. I haven't seen Pat Lee in zone.
