The impasse between the NFL and the NFL Players Association over the investigation regarding the Al Jazeera documentary containing allegations against four active NFL players lingers, with the league wanting to interview them, the union declining to make them available, and the league not yet saying, "The interview will occur at this specific time. Show up...

Is it not enough to be tested randomly? Is it not enough to give a affidavit issuing denial, that would be more than enough to punish them if they are found to be guilty of something?

Basically, why should they have to be subjected to an interview process based on nothing but the words of a liar?

Where does it stop? If a rival team wants to distract a star on another team, based on this would be precedent, could they not pay a "journalist" to publish an article accusing that player of being dirty? They can publish it, recant it and sic the NFL dogs on them at will if that is all it is going to take to prompt an "investigation".

Yeah, I don't like the distraction... I "hope" there is nothing to it or at least they get the white glove Star QB treatment of Manning. Hell.. in that regard, they had delivery of HGH to at least prompt it being looked at. Not a thin accusal of written word, and nothing more.

In this case, I side with the players, it is an overreach on the part of the NFL to demand something out of the norm that another player would be afforded.. based on so little.

I believe the NFL should keep its nose out of things. If a player is accused of something, regardless of nature, they should keep their nose out of it until a verdict and appeals are exhausted. We (folks in general) should be innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. Obviously not every situation is that black and white, but that's the starting point I feel that should be exhausted first.

I agree with the NFLPA and players not agreeing to be interviewed. Nothing good can come of it for them. I am not one who would be surprised if any player in the league tested positive. I pretty much figure they have all used if not currently at some point in their career. Pro athletes have "Using" down to a science. They know how much of something they can take, without exceeding the threshold. When a player fails, it is not because they started using, it is because they messed up their dosage.

If this is to much of a distraction for the players and coaches to handle, I think we need different players and coaches.

The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

beast (27-Mar) : You saw only 4,201 of my mocks? 🥺 I think that means you missed more than half of them 😢
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Does anyone know what Lambeau field improvements got put on hold? My guess would be for the 2025 draft
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : It's like listen, you made 4,201 mocks, no shit.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : Cuz during the draft "I had them mocked there!" as if it's amazing.
Zero2Cool (27-Mar) : They're fun to do once in awhile. It's people who think they are "content" that annoy me.
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Against tbd
dfosterf (27-Mar) : Answer to your question is yes, it's a Thursday, will be the Chiefs aga

dfosterf (27-Mar) : And/Or a city council, of which I haven't seen a good one in a very long time
dfosterf (27-Mar) : That sounds like a Mayor, not a city.

Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Shouldn't be penalized cuz official screwed up
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Yeah, challenge until you are incorrect twice.
Zero2Cool (25-Mar) : Fining them is the goal, per the people who made the rule anyway.
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still waiting on the kickoff rule changes. Did hear yesterday that the touchback proposal will now be the 30 yard line, not the 35
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Probably speed of game issues with your proposal
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Hopefully the refs don't get in the habit of throwing flags on this
beast (25-Mar) : I think when it comes to Challenges should get two strikes, so unlimited challenges as long as they keep winning them, but 2 wrong then done
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Still subject to the fines etc
dfosterf (25-Mar) : Yes, I should have been more specific. Also, they are now saying it would be a 15 yard penalty. That makes more sense .
