Sounds like Davis might be hitting a wall. I still like him though.

Jordy Nelson and Ty Montgomery haven’t even been cleared to practice yet and rookie Trevor Davis' eye-catching start in the non-padded practices hasn’t exactly carried over to the padded work.

In 1963, the Packers punting unit set a record with 39.2 net punt yards average. Net punt yardages is considered the most important stat of a punting unit. Due to Packers weather and better returners, no Packers punt unit had even come within one yard of that average. That is not until Tim Masthay; Masthay was somehow able to get above 38.5 in three of his first five seasons, coming close to the record in 2013 with a 39.0 net punt yard average.

But in 2015, the Packers punt unit broke the 52 years record with their own 40.2 net punt yard average. So what happened differently in 2015, what got Masthay and the punting unit to jump 1.2 net yards average above his old high and 1.0 net yards average above anyone else in Green Bay history? A certain physical super speedster playing gunner on the coverage on the punt unit.

Jeff Janis broke out and changed the Packers punt unit, putting a ton of pressure on the return unit, because they couldn't handle Janis' combo of strength, speed and tackling skill. That's a great weapon, that no team will want to lose.

Davante sure didn't help himself tonight.

Abby and Janis both looked good.
Mason Crosby looked good, but the 2 blocked FG's......the line has to protect better.

Davante seems pretty streaky. He'll make one play for every 5 drops.

I hope Adam's can turn it around, at this point it seems he is playing himself out of a spot on the roster. I was also hoping to see more receiver production from Janis after how he finished last year. Of course it's early so a lot can happen.
Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

beast (5-Apr) : The 25th pick in the draft has been an offensive player since 2017, 2 TE, 2 WR, 1 RB, 1 OC

Mucky Tundra (4-Apr) : Gotta imagine that Green Bay vs Houston will be a primetime game this upcoming season
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : No. Kill QB. No worries. 😁
Mucky Tundra (3-Apr) : Diggs, Collins, Dell and Schultz is gonna be tough to cover
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Stefon Diggs' trade will not be processed as a post-June 1 designation, so that is just over $31 million in dead cap this year.
Zero2Cool (3-Apr) : Bills trading WR Stefon Diggs to the Texans in exchange for a 2025 2nd-round pick. (via @rapsheet)
